FOX NEWS CARL CAMERON FOUR-PART REPORT:

THE INFAMOUSLY CENSORED FOX NEWS CARL CAMERON FOUR-PART REPORT:

Then, in 2001, there is the mysterious three paragraph article from the Israeli newspaper Haaretz about Robert Philip Hanssen, an American FBI agent turned Russian spy who represented "one of the worst cases of espionage in the history of the United States." The Haaretz headline proclaimed Israeli Angle in U.S. Spy Case Causes Worry in Jerusalem, and then noted that "the recent confrontation between the United States and Russia over the serious espionage case involving FBI agent Robert Philip Hanssen has an Israel angle. This has been the subject of concern at the highest political and security echelons in Jerusalem in the past few days." [BENN, A., 4-4-01] The article explains nothing else at all about the dimensions of this "Israeli angle," nor has any other media source ever taken up the story.

Fox News had addressed the subject of Israeli spies in America after the September 11 terrorist attacks:

"Since September 11, more than 60 Israelis have been arrested or detained, either under the new patriot anti-terrorist law, or for immigration violations. A handful of active Israeli military were among those detained, according to investigators, who say some of the detainees also failed polygraph questions when asked about alleged surveillance activities against and in the United States. There is no indication that the Israelis were involved in the 9/11 attacks, but investigators suspect that the Israelis may have gathered intelligence about the attacks in advance, and not shared it. A highly placed investigatorsaid there are 'tie-ins' ... Numerous classified documents obtained by Fox News indicate that even prior to September 11, as many as 140 other Israelis had been deatined or arrested in a secretive and sprawling investigation into suspected espionage by Israelis in the United States." [CAMERON, C., pt. 1, 12-14-01]

What about the aforementioned CIA head John Deutch (and perhaps others in his circle) as a very strong candidate for the Jewish-Israeli "Mega" club? In 2000, a troubling story about him began to hit the newsstands, revolving around an incident that happened as he was leaving his CIA post in 1996. Deutch, who became Director of the CIA after leaving his position as Deputy Secretary of Defense, was caught with 1,700 pages of CIA documents -- many secret, and classified -- on his home computer, one that had also been a visitor to "high-risk" Internet pornography sites. Members in Congress were not informed of Deutch's security lapses until 1998 and not until the year 2000 did all this come under public scrutiny. And he was afforded top-level Pentagon security clearance until late 1999.

Deutch was known to be a problem earlier in his career when it came to secret information. "According to a knowledgeable official who asked not be identified," noted the (New Jersey) Record, "while Deutch was serving as a senior Defense Department official [the number two in command] in the early 1990s, he failed a polygraph test about his handling of classified materials. The official said Pentagon security officers were concerned because Deutch took highly classified material home with him, but his security clearances were not revoked or downgraded." [THE RECORD, 2-5-2000, p. A6]

An investigation of Deutch's information cache was undertaken by the CIA Inspector General. The IG report, noted the New York Times, "disclosed that just three days after Mr. Deutch learned that his computer practices were under review, he deleted more than 1,000 classified files from his personal computers. The report also says that Mr. Deutch declined to be interviewed by the CIA's security officials." [RISEN, J., 2-12-2000] Deutch had been taking secret CIA information home for years. As the Times notes, "according to the IG report, "Mr. Deutch used unclassified MacIntosh computers for classified work through his tenure as director. He chose not to conduct sensitive work on the classified computer system at the CIA because he said he was afraid the other CIA officials would see what he was writing, according to the report." [RISEN, J., 2-12-2000]

"This is strange behavior, very suspicious," remarked the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Richard Shelby, about Deutch's actions, "It's unprecedented, to my knowledge." [THE RECORD, 2-5-2000]

The CIA investigators, noted a European paper, "became so frustrated at the limits imposed on them that they concluded senior [CIA] officials were protecting Mr. Deutch and wanted to wash their hands of the case." [BRANSON, L., 2-2-2000, p. 12] "Mr. Deutch," said the New York Times, "refused to be interviewed by the security staff and senior CIA officials allowed him to avoid being questioned." [RISEN, J.] A number of media members began calling Deutch's case a "cover-up." The CIA didn't report Deutch's misdeeds to the Justice Department for over a year. The CIA's Inspector General only did so in 1998 "after an agency employee complained to the Inspector General's office that the inquiry had not been properly handled." [RISEN, J., 2-12-2000] The Justice Department declined to prosecute the former Director of the CIA.

The Deutch revelation, remarked a Scottish paper, "is particularly embarrassing in the light of the high profile case of Los Alamos scientist Wen Ho Lee, who is being held in jail without bail. He is suspected of transferring secrets from the nuclear research base to the Chinese. The charges against him so far are for exactly what Mr. Deutch did: transferring files from work to his home computer." [BRANSON, L., 2-2-2000, p. 12] Like Deutch, there was no hard evidence that Lee passed along information to a foreign government, but Lee languished in solitary confinement 23 hours a day as a suspected spy (imprisoned for taken classified work home), while Deutch merely had his clearances to enter CIA and Pentagon databases taken away.

It was even discovered that Deutch had helped a CIA official, Nora Slatkin, get a job as a vice-president at CITIBANK while she was working on the investigation of his breach of security case. [RISEN, J., 2-12-2000, p. A10] In recent years Deutch has been a professor at MIT and an adviser to weapons companies. He was paid over $240,000, for example, in 1998-99 as a non-employee director at Raytheon and member of that company's board of governors. [MCLAUGHLIN, T., 3-30-2000, p. 25] As Bill Clinton left the White House in 2001, Clinton granted Deutch a full pardon, surprising the CIA even as it continued its investigation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 1999, Iran tersely rejected the formal protests lodged by the French minister of France "that the arrest [of 13 Iranian] Jews [on accusations of spying for Israel] was intolerable." The ambassador "summoned the Iranian ambassador [in France] to express France's anger." [INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE, 6-22-99, p. 4] This small item meriting international attention and formal French "outrage" bears further scrutiny. Most such news reports on the subject neither itemized the charges against the Jews, nor evidence for or against them. As always, the reportage of such an occasion, with no context whatsoever, merely encourages the reader to absorb between the lines evidence of yet another case of endemic, irrational anti-Semitism. This time from Iran. Yet there are strong historical contexts and precedents for such accusation. Israel's Mossad was long prominent in the former Iranian Shah's secret police network (See later chapter). As recently as March 1998 too, three Mossad agents made the news after trying to bug a Muslim activist's home in London. Only a few days later another four Israeli spy members were arrested in Switzerland after bugging another Lebanese Muslim's home. These incidents, and the failed attempt to assassinate an anti-Israel Hamas official in Jordan, forced the head of Mossad, Danny Yatom, to resign. [MAHNAIMI, U., 1998]

And there has always been widespread Israeli spying on Arab countries, using Israeli Jews who originally came from those very lands. Take for example, Israel's original spying unit on Arabs called Shin Mem 18, [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 43] created for the "infiltration and implantation of Israeli agents in Arab countries." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 43]

Or take for example the case of Yolande Harmer, "born in Egypt to a Turkish-Jewish mother," who" posed as a journalist in her home country and took "on a succession of lovers, some of them simultaneously, mostly from Egypt's rich and powerful and from the foreign diplomatic corps in Cairo." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 61]

In 1998, the Times of London noted the profoundly ruthless and dedicated degree that Israeli espionage can go. In a newly-discovered story, the paper revealed that "members of an Israeli undercover unit in the 1950s went so far as to marry Muslim women and have children by them to ward off suspicion ... The unit was designed for long-term espionage. Its members, Sephardim from a variety of Arab countries, were taught to speak in Palestinian accents ... Ironically, because they had been so rigorously taught the Koran, some became teachers, which gave them perfect cover for spying." [WALKER, C., 9-30-98] (So, when seemingly ridiculous Polish communist-era "antisemitic and anti-Zionist propaganda" proclaimed that "Jews had been instructed by their 'world center' command post to marry Polish girls in order to gain influence over the population and thus be able to pursue their subversive and espionage activities more effectively," what are we to reasonably think of it? [CHEMCINSKI, M., 1982, p. 217]

Other Israeli spying units (later blending into today's Mossad) using indigenous Arab-speaking Jews included Shai (the Arab Division of the Jewish Agency political department) and Palmach's "Arab Platoon." In the 1950s an Israeli spy, Major Avraham Dar, "recruited a group of Egyptian Jewish youngsters and set up underground [Zionist] cells in Cairo and Alexandria." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 108] In 1954 "the [Jewish] Egyptian network embarked on its bombing spree ... [However] a bomb went off prematurely in the pocket of one of the group, Philip Natanson, as he was about to enter the Rio Cinema in Alexandria. Natanson was arrested and that night the Egyptian security police arrested the rest of the network: Dr. Moshe Marzuk, Shmuel Azzar, Marcelle Ninio, Victor Levi, Robert Dassa, Meir Za'afran, Meir Meynhas, Eli Ya'akov, and Azzar Cohen." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 111]

Quite possibly echoing the recent Jewish-Iranian spy accusation, Israeli intelligence "activated a wide range of European contacts to try to improve the treatment or obtain the release of the Cairo defendants. Among those approached were French parliamentarians such as Coure de Marville and Daniel Maier and leading British and French lawyers." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 113] The West German government was even persuaded to act on behalf of one of the Israeli spies, Max Binnet, recognizing his questionable German citizenship. "After his death," note Ian Black and Benny Morris, "in a rare piece of inter-Arab intelligence cooperation, the Iraqis informed Cairo that Binnet ... had been mentioned in the 1951 Mossad ring trial in Baghdad [regarding] the extensive spy network that had operated in Iraq and Iran." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 113] In 1965, in another situation, Eli Cohn, born and raised in Egypt, was the "first Israeli spy caught and executed as an Israeli." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 48]

In Morocco, in the 1950s "hundreds of Jewish volunteers were mobilized in a Mossad-led Jewish self-defense organization." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 176] "Over 100 [Jewish Moroccans] went abroad -- mostly to Israel -- for military training, though some were trained in Morocco itself: cells and 'units' were organized in the main towns (eventually there were twelve local units); arms were bought and dispensed in underground caches ... The members were trained in the uses of pistols, sub-machine guns and knives. At its height [the Jewish Moroccan secret cell] had 600 members (and in Algeria and Tunisia, another 600 altogether)." [MORRIS/BLACK, p. 176]

Zionist intrigue in Eastern Europe? From the early years of the Israeli state, note Ian Black and Benny Morris, "new Jewish immigrants [to Israel] from behind the Iron Curtain, Israeli diplomatic missions, and Jewish communities in Eastern Europe all served as valuable sources of intelligence." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 136]

In response to French parliamentary speaker Laurent Fabius' recent call to release the imprisoned Iranian Jews before a trial, Iran's Tehran Times responded, saying that "Mr. Fabius is probably under the influence of Zionists." [AGENCE PRESSE FRANCE, 7-3-99] Fabius too is of Jewish heritage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1999's White House coddling of the Jewish lobbying empire and international Zionist spy networks included the Islamic nation of Iran. The (Jewish) Forward noted that "At last weekends G-7 talks in Germany, President Clinton asked the Japanese government to refrain from approving their third loan installment of $820 million to Iran until the 13 [Jewish] prisoners are freed." [SPENCE] These 13 Iranian Jews, arrested and accused by Iran of spying for Israel (7 non-Jews arrested in the alleged ring are rarely mentioned in the Western press), had not even been yet been brought to trial to prove their guilt or innocence, yet the American president was an active lobbyist for Jewish/Israeli interests to ignore Iranian sovereignty and demand, pre-trial, all the suspects' categorical freedom. Jewish American National Security Adviser Sandy Berger wrote a formal letter to the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations assuring them that the President planned to "seek international assistance" in freeing the 13. The Jerusalem Post noted the dimensions of international Jewish activism about the issue, noting that an Israeli "Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said Israel had approached practically every country with which it had diplomatic relations and asked help for seeking the release of the Iranian Jews." [KUTTLER, 6-18-99]

Iranian officials even revealed that some of the accused Jewish prisoners had confessed that they spied for Israel. Nonetheless, U.S. Secretary or State Madeline Albright announced that "We have made this very clear that this is an unacceptable trial. There is absolutely no reason for them to brought up on espionage charges." A prominent Iranian religious leader, Mohammed Emami Kashani, responded to Albright, saying, "You are a political leader, not a judicial official ... There are international laws. Relations between the countries are based on laws ... Woman, you who are Secretary of State, on what logic have you based your remarks? On what basis?" [AGENCE FRANCE PRESSE, 10-22-99]

Years earlier, as context for understanding such an international Jewish pressure campaign, we may look to Morocco. In 1960 an Israeli-sponsored "underground military cell" (as two Jewish scholars describe it), consisting of about 600 people, was exposed among Jews in that Arab land. Many were arrested. Israel then "foreswore secret diplomacy," notes Ian Black and Benny Morris, "and launched a widespread public campaign on behalf of Moroccan Jewry. U.S. President John Kennedy sent a personal message to King Muhammad; a group of American Congressmen threatened to table a bill to stop U.S. aid to Morocco unless the "persecution" stopped. French President Charles de Gaulle was also mobilized to exert pressure on [Morocco's capital] Rabat." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 179] The imprisoned Jews were eventually released. The head of Israel's Mossad, Isser Harel, wrote at the time that "there is no doubt that the [Moroccan] King's and the interior minister's latest steps are a result of our actions and our information campaign around the world." [BLACK/MORRIS, p. 179]

The Jonathan Jay Pollard Spy Case, by Denise Noe, Crime Library

Trust No One: The Secret World of Sidney Reilly, sidneyreillyinfo "The man best known as Sidney George Reilly-although he used many names-spent his life in the shadows of international intrigue and counted among his legion of allies, accomplices and victims the likes of Winston Churchill, the mysterious Basil Zaharoff and Boris Savinkov. Usually portrayed as a master spy, Reilly's real exploits exceeded anything credited to Fleming's fictional Bond. The son of a Polish Jewish family in Imperial Russia, he early embarked on an amazing, daring and often bewildering career which led him to assume the personas of an Anglo-Irish gentleman, an international arms-merchant and a Bolshevik commissar among many others. He was a slightly different person to every man who knew him and every woman who loved him. But Reilly was as much a cunning master criminal as secret agent, amassing a fortune by the ruthless bartering of influence and information. He was used and feared by capitalists and commissars alike. Was he a dedicated anti-communist, the Soviet's first "mole," or simply a bold and unscrupulous con man?"

Double trouble, by Yossi Melman, Ha'aretz (Israel), January 22, 2003 "In Israel, too, all the units that run agents - in the Shin Bet security service, in the intelligence wing of the Israel Defense Forces and in the Mossad - also try to observe this secrecy rigorously. However, in recent years, discipline has been growing lax and the names of a number of agents have become public knowledge. This began at the end of the 1980s, with hints that Rafat Ali al-Gamal, an Egyptian citizen who pretended to be a Jew and immigrated to Israel at the behest of Egyptian intelligence, was exposed by the Shin Bet, became a double agent and turned into one of the best operatives in the intelligence community. Later it was revealed that King Hussein of Jordan had met secretly with then prime minister Golda Meir at the end of September, 1973, and warned her of the approaching war with Egypt and Syria. Hussein was not an Israeli agent (in his youth, during the 1950s and the 1960s, he was a paid agent of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, as were other leaders of Third World countries). His secret meetings with Israeli leaders sprang from his understanding of his own interests and those of his kingdom. But he definitely was a 'source,' an 'intelligence asset' and what is called in professional jargon 'an agent of influence.' Later on, following the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in November, 1995, there were those who leaked that Avishai Raviv was a Shin Bet agent and also revealed his code name "Champagne," which his runners used in the missions to aid him in infiltrating the coteries of the extreme right. Now for the first time, the Egyptian media, a month ago, has revealed what it calls one of the most important assets the Mossad had in Egypt: the source who confirmed in October, 1973 that a war was in the offing. A month ago, newspapers in Egypt raised the question of whether Dr. Ashraf Marwan, a businessman who is the son-in-law of President Gamal Abdel Nasser, was an Israeli agent. In Israel, the name of the agent has never been exposed and, in the discussion surrounding his activities, he is referred to as a 'senior agent' operated by the Mossad in Egypt, who supplied Israel with important information including that regarding the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War. The person behind the debate is Dr. Ahron (Roni) Bregman, who has been living in Britain for many years and was involved several years ago in the production of a BBC television series to mark Israel's Jubilee ... Dr. Ashraf Marwan was born in 1944, the son of a respected Egyptian family who studied in England and married Muna, Nasser's third daughter, in the 1960s. The marriage brought him close to the president's innermost circle. He was given the status and title of roving ambassador, and set out on delicate diplomatic missions around the world. In the media of the end of the 1960s and the beginning of the 1970s, he was mentioned as having served as bureau chief for the presidency, and sometimes it was even noted that he was the coordinator on behalf of the president with the Egyptian intelligence services. According to these same sources, the senior agent was recruited by Israel apparently in 1969. The surprising thing is that the agent volunteered his services. One day, he walked into the Israeli Embassy in Kensington in London and offered to provide information. The mission of running him, according to these sources, was given to the Mossad. It is possible to assume that a thorough background check of him was conducted. ... ... The Mossad ... believed that the agent was not a double agent, and that before the Yom Kippur war, he delivered the goods for which he was recruited and run."

Mossad, Mossad – Coming soon to a town near you!, Baloochistan Post (Pakistan), May 13, 2002 "In a fascinating plot, full of intrigue and betrayal, Mossad, RAW and Israeli-Russian-Ukrainian drug mafia seem to have joined hands to catch the ultimate prize: The Entire World. The whole story may never be available but we have put together enough pieces to give you a fair idea of what may be in store for all of us ... What the [Mossad] statement and the poster omit to mention is that the newly recruited case officers will be assigned to Central Asia, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. Recruitment drive for case officers was a part of a larger campaign run by Mossad between April 2001 and July 2001. During this period, Mossad sought to recruit case officers, communication specialists, linguists, electronics and computer specialists and entry level operatives (age 22-28) ... During last couple of years it has begun paying special attention to Pakistan, Iran and Central Asia ... In April 2001, the Mossad published a 'help wanted' ad in the Israeli press seeking electronics engineers and computer scientists for the Mossad technology unit. Since most Mossad operatives come from hi tech fields, they do the most natural thing when they leave Mossad i.e. they launch a start up company in IT, communications, computers and other related fields. The 'Or' of this story launched a successful company after leaving Mossad and his company is now reputedly worth US $ 15 million and employs more than 70 highly qualified personnel. Such persons usually move their operations to foreign countries and besides making tons of money, continue serving their motherland in hi tech fashion. Since most former operatives of Mossad are hi tech specialists, it is not difficult for them to launch a start up company and make it successful on its merit alone. While spreading out into Central Asia, Pakistan and Iran, these operatives are likely to arrive with proposals for companies which deal with IT solutions, software engineering, computer and electronics hardware expertise, communications and other related fields ... Janes information group, the world's foremost source on intelligence information, reported in July 2001 that 'The Indian spy agency RAW and the Israeli spy agency Mossad have created 'four new agencies' to infiltrate Pakistan to target important religious and military personalities, journalists, judges, lawyers and bureaucrats. In addition, bombs would be exploded in trains, railway stations, bridges, bus stations, cinemas, hotels and mosques of rival Islamic sects to incite sectarianism. Pakistani intelligence agencies also said that RAW had constituted a plan to lure Pakistani men between 20 and 30 years of age to visit India so that they could be entrapped 'in cases of fake currency and subversion' and then be coerced to spy for India' ... What is clear right now is that Indian RAW and Israeli Mossad are collaborating extensively to curb the freedom movement of Kashmir and destabilize Pakistan ... Under the euphemism of 'counter-terrorism', India is allowing Israel to establish a huge spy establishment in India which will, interalia, unearth and monitor 'Islamic fundamentalist' individuals and groups for elimination by extra judicial process or by cold-blooded murder and kidnapping ... One of the greatest abilities of Mossad is that it can mobilize US resources anywhere to protect Israeli interests. Now when Pakistan has already allowed US forces to use its soil, air and intelligence, is not it possible that Mossad’s clever brains workout a scenario and push the American troops to do what the Mossad would like to do in Pakistan? Think about it."

Mossad's chief gets agency set for action, Washington Times, February 10, 2003 "The Mossad, Israel's shadowy counterintelligence agency, is revving up for a relentless campaign against what its tough-minded chief, Meir Dagan, regards as the most serious threats to the Jewish state — large-scale terrorism perpetrated by regional extremists, and danger they may acquire weapons of mass destruction. The campaign will be waged by means of state-of-the-art intelligence-gathering equipment, including space satellites, which have been launched independently by Israel, as well as shrewdly executed operations by agents able to avoid compromising themselves or implicating their handlers. Mr. Dagan's strategy has filtered beyond Mossad's top-secret headquarters, but the precise tactics may never become known. Even if they are deduced, described or revealed by parties at the scenes of impact, Israeli officials will neither confirm them nor accept responsibility. Like his political patron and wartime commander — Prime Minister Ariel Sharon — Mr. Dagan, who was born Meir Huberman in 1945, is relatively fond of using biblical writ, partly because Hebrew is his native language and because his generation was taught to identify with the ancient Israelites. ... Amir Oren, military and intelligence analyst for the daily Ha'aretz, said, "Twelve years ago, after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, then-Capt. Dagan ... initiated far-reaching operations deep inside Iraq' ... By the late 1990s, when he served as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's adviser on counterterrorism, Mr. Dagan implemented Israel's 'targeted killings' of suspected terrorists by hand-held weapons, air-to-ground missiles, explosive charges set off by remote-control devices and other lethal means ... Israel's adventures in Lebanon are almost as much a trauma for Mr. Dagan as they have been for Mr. Sharon. Their frustrating experiences there are cited by Ha'aretz's Mr. Oren. 'Mr. Sharon expects Mr. Dagan to infuse the Mossad with heavy doses of aggressiveness, duplicity and fiendishness,' he wrote in Ha'aretz. 'These have been Mr. Dagan's personal characteristics throughout his career.'"

Soviet Mata Hari. That was she who stole US nuclear secrets, Pravda (Russisa), February 12, 2003 "Yelizaveta Zarubina realized dozens of fruitful operations [as a Russian spy], recruited hundreds of sources. She new 6 languages, and was a person of great culture and simply a beautiful women who attracted men. At the same time she was modest, even shy. In the USSR, she was the only foreigner who rose to the rank of KGB colonel. The name of Yelizaveta Zarubina became known after World War II, when the US press published some unclassified archive documents. At the same time, some versions appeared which disclosed sensational details of the Soviet intelligence operations in the US during WW II. In the 1990s, when memoirs of some intelligence workers were published, the role of Yelizaveta Zarubina in obtaining US nuclear bomb secrets became known. In particular, she established contacts with Robert Oppenheimer, before he became the leader of the Manhattan Project. Today, Russian intelligence still cannot declassify the original file of Yelizaveta Zarubina: her activity was really very large-scale. Though, in the museum of Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, there is an exposure of Yelizaveta Zarubina. In official publications, some details of her biography are either inexact, or they are absent at all. Information about her is kept in closed party archives. So, who was Yelizaveta Zarubina (Rosenzweig), called in our story Soviet Mata Hari? She was born in North Bukovina, which was a part of Austrian-Hungarian Empire and belonged after WW II to Romania. She was philologist and fluently spoke Romanian, Russian, English, French, and German. Among her relatives, there were prominent political and military figures who suffered from Stalin’s repressive measures because of their independent views or Jewish origin. Liza started to work for intelligence since 1919. She worked for some time in the secretariat of Soviet intelligence founder Felix Dzerzinski. Her first husband was famous Blumkin, who worked for Russian Special Commission and participated in annihilation of German ambassador Mirbach in 1918. Moreover, Blumkin was a key figure in the conspiracy of the Socialist-Revolutionist Party (SR) against Vladimir Lenin. Later Blumkin came cap in hand to Dzerzinski, was excused, and started to work for the Special Commission (ChK). In 1929, Blumkin was the head of an illegal intelligence group in Turkey. Fulfilling the Soviet government orders, he sold Hasid [Jewish ultra-Orthodox] books from special funds of Lenin State Library. The money was aimed for creation of a diversion terrorist unit to fight against Great Britain in the Middle East. Blumkin kept some part of money and handed it over to Lev Trotsky. Moreover, he was a kind of messenger between him and his supporters in the USSR. When Liza learned these facts, she reported them to the ChK leadership, and Blumkin was arrested. Now Liza was single again. A charming girl, she easily established contacts in different circles and gathered necessary information. For her service purposes, she often changed her appearance. Several years after her divorce, she married Vasily Zarubin, professional secret service man. Since 1929, the couple started to prepare for illegal work in France, where they lived as the Kocheks, Czech merchants. The couple became legal in Denmark, then they go to France. Some of their French contacts are still not opened, and some of them are probably still actual. Some contacts, for example that ones in German diplomatic corps in Paris, were actively used later, when fascist came to power. Since December 1933, the Zarubins acted in the Hitler Reich. That were they who recruited the Gestapo worker, Willy Lehman (nick 'Breinbach'), who became a Soviet intelligence agent ... The legendary Soviet spy woman died in 1987 as an aged woman, as a result of an accident."

Israeli Spies Aided Feds In Readying 'Jihad' Case Mossad Key On Al-Arian, [Jewish] Forward, February 28, 2003 "Intelligence supplied by Israel played a key role in the indictment last week of University of South Florida professor Sami Al-Arian on charges that he is a leader of the Islamic Jihad Palestinian terrorist group, the Forward has learned. An FBI delegation traveled to Israel late last year to collect intelligence obtained by Israel during the mid-1990s, a former top counterterrorist official said on condition of anonymity. 'The evidence the U.S. government has is intelligence, much of it from the Israeli government, relating to 1994 — when the Mossad had a penetration of [Islamic Jihad] headquarters in Damascus,' the official said. 'Much of the intelligence was turned over to the FBI on a recent visit to Israel.' The FBI and the Justice Department would not comment. Jonathan Peled, a spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry, acknowledged that Israel was cooperating with American authorities, although he said he did not have specific knowledge about the Al-Arian case or of the FBI visit. Matthew Levitt, a former FBI official now with the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a pro-Israel think tank, acknowledged that 'Israel has every reason to be very forthcoming' on Islamic Jihad and that he had 'heard about' the FBI trip. However, he stressed that 'there was no reason to assume that the indictment was not mostly based on U.S. intelligence and police work,' essentially phone and fax wiretaps started in 1994. Al-Arian, a tenured computer engineering professor at the University of South Florida, was charged with racketeering along with seven other people. In a 50-count indictment unsealed last Thursday in Tampa, prosecutors accused the eight men of conspiring since 1984 to support Islamic Jihad by helping finance and organize suicide bombings in Israel. It is the first time an indictment is centered on terrorist acts committed abroad."

[Author Neal Sher "is a Washington attorney and former director of the Office of Special Investigations in the Justice Department. He is also a former executive director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee." Sher's "personal memoir" below makes it look like he was rather tight with the Israeli spy world.] Isser Harel: A personal memoir, by Neal M. Sher, Jewish World Review, March 5, 2003 "The people of Israel indeed, Jews the world over have lost a genuine hero. Last month, Isser Harel, the world-renowned spymaster and one of the founders of the Mossad, died in Tel Aviv. Best known for planning and executing the extraordinary capture of Adolf Eichmann in Buenos Aires in 1960 a feat which made the whole world take notice of Israel's ingenuity and capabilities Harel's contribution to the security of the fledgling State of Israel cannot be overstated. As anyone who knew him or worked with him will attest, he was, despite his diminutive size, a giant. I am among the privileged who had an opportunity to work with or, to be accurate, be counseled by the legendary Harel. In 1985, as the director of the Justice Department's Office of Special Investigations, I headed the US team charged with searching for the infamous Josef Mengele (in concert with the Israelis and Germans.) My first order of business was to seek the advice of the man who had orchestrated the most daring of Nazi hunts ... I MADE a point of meeting with Harel whenever I visited Israel; he was as interested in the work of OSI as I was to soak up his insights on the current state of affairs. During our regular lunches at the Triana restaurant in Tel Aviv, I realized that I was in the company of a larger-than-life hero of our people ... Rest in peace, my friend. You have served your nation and people well."

Israel quietly playing key spy role, New York Daily News, March 29, 2003 "From a spy satellite orbiting overhead to clandestine operations in western Iraq, Israel is a strong ally in the U.S.-led war against Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. But it's mostly a silent partnership because the Bush administration doesn't want to advertise Israel's help, fearing a backlash among Arab nations - particularly key allies like Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Behind the scenes, however, the Israelis are heavily engaged. Their sophisticated Amos 4 satellite routinely beams data to U.S. intelligence, and Israeli agents in Baghdad have provided extremely sensitive intelligence, sources told the Daily News. Israel has been particularly aggressive in the desert of western Iraq, where its Sayeret Matkal commando force, in tandem with U.S. and Australian special forces, has run covert operations hunting for Scud missile launch sites."

Subject: Saddam is Alive, by Gordon Thomas, yourmailinglistprovider.com (from globe-intel.net) "If [Saddam is] alive, then Bush wants him to face justice in either an American controlled court in Iraq – or a trial in the United States. Paul Wolfowitz, US deputy secretary of defence, has indicated 'this is personal for George – and he wants Saddam to face American justice for his part in 9/11'. Helping Bush achieve that are the hardmen of the intelligence world – Mossad’s spies. Not only have they been the only spies on the ground during the Saddam regime – but they have also played a vital role in the run up to, and during, the war with Iraq. It was their intelligence which enabled Coalition troops to storm up into Baghdad in record time. No other agency is so well-entrenched in the Arab capitals of the region. Now, those agents, under the direction of Mossad chief Meir Dagan, have reinforced the Mossad men already in Iraq. They are part of an operation squad, codenamed Caesarea. Many are Iraqi Jews. 'They can track as well as any Bedouin. They speak the desert dialects. They eat, sleep and behave in every way like an Arab. That is what makes them so unique', one of Dagan’s staff said. Years ago, Mossad had an agent inside the inner circle of Syria’s leadership. The man, Eli Cohen, time and again gave Tel Aviv vital forewarning of a Syrian threat. Rafi Eitan, the former Operations Chief with Mossad, secreted a spy into King Hussein of Jordan’s palace. 'Our man gave us information that no other service had – not the CIA or MI6. Not anybody', Eitan said. Unknown to Saddam, Mossad had an agent within the top echelon of the Iraqi leadership. Last week, the spy managed to plant a homing device in the briefcase of one of Saddam’s top aides when they met for a dinner meeting at the al-Saa restaurant, in Baghdad’s Mansour district. Over thirty of Iraq’s Special Security Organisation and senior military intelligence officers had gathered in the expensive restaurant to hear Saddam speak ... But, with that sixth sense for which he was renowned, Saddam for as yet an unexplained reason became suspicious. He left the restaurant – but ordered everybody else to remain present. Four minutes later, 300,000 feet above the restaurant, US weapons officer Lt-Col Fred Swan programmed the coordinates in his BI bomber."

[Defending Jewish spies:] A scary story of militants, FBI bungling, Cleveland Plain Dealer, June 8, 2003 "Imagine you are a Jewish woman living in the United States with your husband and children. On Friday night, you and your family have a traditional Shabbat dinner. On Saturday morning, you rise and don a chador, the black baglike garment worn by many Muslim women in the Middle East. Under your clothing, you have taped a small recording device to your skin. Your husband drops you off a few blocks from your destination. At the door of a mosque, or perhaps a convention center, you become an Arabic-speaking Muslim. It's in your accent, your mannerisms, the thoughts you express. Then you walk into the hall where people are calling for the murder of Jews, and you turn on your recorder. This is what the anonymous author of 'Terrorist Hunter' does routinely. Her book, part memoir, part investigative reporting, can be breathless and disjointed, and its writing sometimes amateurish. That shouldn't stop any would-be readers; its contents are chilling. Born into a well-off Iraqi Jewish family, the author enjoyed an idyllic childhood until one day shortly after Saddam Hussein's Baath party seized power in 1968. Government henchmen broke down their door and hauled her father off to prison, where they accused him of spying for Israel. He was held and tortured for a year. His pregnant wife was tortured in the next room so that he could hear her screams. A kangaroo court found him guilty, and he was hanged in a public square along with eight other Jews to the cheers of a half-million spectators. The author fled with her family to neighboring Iran and then to Israel, where she grew up and got married. Eventually, she, her husband and their children moved to the United States, and the restless young housewife answered an ad for employment at a research institute. Fast-forward a few months, and Anonymous is deep into the infiltration of militant Islamic organizations for her employer, which supplies intelligence to the U.S. government. This is white-knuckle reading, as she tells of perspiration loosening the tape holding her recorder in place, of slip-ups in conversation, of having to sit passively while a Muslim scholar tells his audience that Israelis make ashtrays from the skulls of Muslim fetuses. But perhaps scarier than the hate spewed by these fanatics (who seem far more numerous than most of us might suspect) is the downright ineptitude, arrogance and grandstanding with which she says the FBI has conducted its investigations of these groups and their activities. Not only did they regularly ignore her reports and refuse to cooperate with other government agencies, they began to investigate her. Anonymous' anger at the FBI is not personal. It's the outrage of a nation, expressed in one woman's voice, for every day that passes as the tangled web of organized terrorists comes closer to accomplishing its goals, while a bunch of bungling, bickering federal agents allow it to happen. Is all of this exaggerated, or even untrue? It's impossible to say. The author's anonymity might raise questions of credibility, yet by writing her account, she risks reprisals by terrorist organizations and further FBI investigation."

[More Jewish tears for traitor Jonathan Pollard, the American imprisoned as a spy for Israel.] OpEd: The Saddest Jew (Pollard), By Charley J. Levine, Independent Media Review Analysis, August 8, 2003 "To an extent not fathomed, Jonathan Pollard is a litmus test about the real values commitments and actual sovereignty of the State of Israel... If the government of Israel were to tell President Bush that nothing is going to move forward on the "Roadmap" until this one man comes home, he would be home tomorrow..." The saddest Jew in the world yesterday on the " Esther has been pounding the Israeli pavement for far too many years, hearing the same thing from dozens of powerbrokers. They all echo Libai in promising the sky, affirming their support, tossing out possible actions to be taken. And then they fade away, and Pollard remains in prison. I visited Jonathan in jail, in 1996, in Butner, North Carolina. My wife and I came to comfort, but it was he who comforted us. He was in command, robust, focused, bloodied but unbowed. My most recent conversation, via cell phone while sitting with Esther in Rimon Cafe several months ago, was far more disconcerting. Jonathan sounded terribly down. No wonder. He could have made the Guiness Book of World Records for spending more time in prison than any other American citizen in history convicted of the crime for which he was tried. (And they say anti-Semitism has nothing to do with it.) I was shocked and frightened for his well-being as never before. And yet, still helpless. Jonathan resurfaced recently, as he occasionally does in between long, damning spells of benign neglect. 112 Members of Knesset signed a petition [to free him from prison] on his behalf-they should be doing much more than that, but certainly a positive initiative ... In a recent Israel opinion poll, the two issues that absolutely topped the list in terms of weeping, 95%+ support, were the continued unity of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the proposition that Jonathan Pollard should be freed. Something is fundamentally wrong when political leaders race to affirm Jerusalem's status, yet shy away from expressing Israel's firm resolve on the Pollard matter."

Pollard to get a day in court in latest twist of famous spy case, By Edwin Black, Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Aug. 12, 2003 "Sept. 2, 2003 is going to be a big day for Jonathan Pollard: The American Jewish spy is going to get another day in court. Pollard´s lawyers will have 40 minutes in a federal courtroom to explain why they should be permitted to continue efforts to rescind the life sentence he received 18 years ago for committing espionage for Israel. Years of tenacious motions by attorneys Jacques Semmelman and Eliot Lauer either have been vigorously opposed by government attorneys or allowed to languish in the court. Now U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Hogan has granted Pollard and his attorneys - who are working on the case pro bono - a hearing. Semmelman and Lauer will get 30 minutes to argue why they should be permitted to appeal, the government can take a half hour to respond, and then Pollard´s attorneys will be granted 10 minutes for the last word. So pivotal is the hearing that the judge has ordered federal prison officials in Butner, N.C., to shuttle Pollard to the U.S. District Court in Washington for the event. Prison officials said they are uncertain whether U.S. marshals would fly Pollard to the nation´s capital or drive. "Normally, we drive them for a mere six-hour trip," a prison spokesman said, "but a high-profile prisoner like Pollard might be flown." He added that arrangements would be made for Pollard´s kosher meals."

Israeli Outlaws in America. The Case of Rafi Eitan, By KURT NIMMO, Counterpunch, August 25, 2003 "Is Rafi Eitan in the United States and if so why hasn't the FBI arrested him? Eitan is the former chief of Mossad operations in Europe and the man who recruited the U.S. Navy counter-intelligence specialist Jonathan Pollard to spy on the United States. As well, Eitan once headed the top-secret science and technology spy unit known as Leshkat Kesher Madao, or Lekem (supposedly dismantled following Pollard's bust). According to Richard Sale (Pollard Recruiter Resurfaces in U.S., UPI, July 31, 2003) and federal law enforcement officials, "Eitan has, for the last year or so, been traveling to the United States on an Israeli passport, but using an alias." Eitan apparently landed at Columbus, Ohio, and then moved around the Midwest on a prolonged road trip. Eitan "the stinker" has been photographed in the company of "known dealers who belong to a ring dealing in the drug ecstasy," one federal law enforcement official told Sale. Last year two major Israeli Ecstasy traffickers were extradited to the United States, much to the displeasure of the Israeli government. The DEA claims "Israeli organized crime figures" control around 70 percent of the worldwide market in Ecstasy. "The FBI is looking for evidence that Eitan is, or has been engaging, in questionable activities related to this ring," a federal law enforcement official told UPI. For his part in the Pollard spy scandal, Rafi Eitan was promoted to a senior position with the largest state-owned business enterprise in Israel -- the Israel Chemicals Company. He received the job based on the recommendation of Ariel Sharon. "It's generally agreed that Eitan was to take the brunt of blame for the [Pollard] mess," a former official close to confidential details of the case told UPI. "In return for his silence, Sharon would make sure he got a good job." In 1987, Eitan boasted to an Israeli newspaper that all of his actions had been undertaken with the knowledge of his Israeli superiors. But Eitan was not the only Israeli to be rewarded for snooping on America. Aviem Sella, an Israeli Air Force expert in nuclear targeting and delivery of airborne nuclear weapons, was Pollard's handler. When Pollard was arrested for passing satellite photographs and weapon systems data to the Israelis, Sella hurried back to Israel, and was soon promoted to Brig. Gen. in Israel's Air Force. "This raised such an outcry of protest in the United States that Sella was quietly moved to the Israeli Defense Force Defense College," writes Sale. Apparently, spying on the United States is relatively easy for the Israelis. According to a 1979 CIA report (quoted by Michael Saba, Pollard in Perspective): "The Israeli intelligence service depends heavily on the various Jewish communities and organizations abroad for recruiting agents and eliciting general information ... Israeli agents usually operate discreetly within Jewish communities and are under instructions to handle their missions with utmost tact to avoid embarrassment to Israel." Pollard, who studied politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University after graduating from Stanford University, was one such "asset" in the American Jewish community. Is it possible Eitan is working "discreetly within Jewish communities" in regard to drug dealing as well -- or did the FBI simply hallucinate the whole thing? And if the FBI indeed knows the whereabouts of Eitan, why haven't they arrested him? He is, after all, a wanted man in America. According to Carl Cameron of Fox News -- in a series of reports that have subsequently disappeared from the Fox News website -- in 1997 the Israelis organized "cocaine and ecstasy trafficking, and sophisticated white-collar credit card and computer fraud... the bad guys had the cops beepers, cell phones, even home phones under surveillance. Some who did get caught admitted to having hundreds of numbers and using them to avoid arrest." An investigation revealed the Israeli crime network possessed "extensive access to database systems to identify pertinent personal and biographical information" of law enforcement officers. How did a network of drug dealers get this sensitive information? "When investigators tried to find out where the information might have come from, they looked at Amdocs, a publicly traded firm based in Israel," Cameron reported. "Amdocs generates billing data for virtually every call in America, and they do credit checks." But it seems Amdocs was not only involved with Israeli drug dealers. "More than two dozen U.S. intelligence, counterintelligence, law-enforcement and other officials have told Insight [magazine] that the FBI believes Israel has intercepted telephone and modem communications on some of the most sensitive lines of the U.S. government on an ongoing basis," write J. Michael Waller and Paul Rodriguez. "The worst penetrations are believed to be in the State Department. But others say the supposedly secure telephone systems in the White House, Defense Department and Justice Department may have been compromised as well. The problem for FBI agents in the famed Division 5, however, isn't just what they have uncovered, which is substantial, but what they don't know yet." Amdocs "helped Bell Atlantic install new telephone lines in the White House in 1997... [and] a senior-level employee of Amdocs had a separate T1 data phone line installed from his base outside of St. Louis that was connected directly to Israel... investigators are looking into whether the owner of the T1 line had a 'real time' capacity to intercept phone calls from both the White House and other government offices around Washington, and sustained the line for some time, sources said. Sources familiar with the investigation say FBI agents on the case sought an arrest warrant for the St. Louis employee but [Clinton] Justice Department officials quashed it." Waller and Rodriguez quoted one senior government official as saying: "It is a politically sensitive matter. I can't comment on it beyond telling you that anything involving Israel on this particular matter is off-limits. It's that hot." Apparently, the Justice Department and the FBI have a lot to hide, if we are to believe Jeffrey Steinberg and Edward Spannaus. According to these two journalists, the Israelis are behind a "massive ecstasy trafficking operation, delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in illegal drugs, manufactured in the Netherlands, to cities across the United States. The drug trafficking operation is also engaged in black market diamond smuggling, using Hassidic Jews as couriers... Portions of the funds garnered from the illegal operations, according to sources, are funneled to offshore bank accounts of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Some of these dirty funds were reportedly diverted to Sharon's election campaigns. This Israeli mafia apparatus receives technical support via a number of Israeli communications firms, that subcontract with major American telephone companies and government law enforcement agencies..."

[Note: the author of this piece, Gordon Thomas, has his own web site and has written many books, some about Mossad.] Sleeper Agents Mobilizing for 9-11. Anniversary Israel is secretly mobilizing its sleeper agents in the United States in the run-up to the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, by Gordon Thomas, American Free Press "In an unprecedented move, Israel has secretly mobilized its estimated 15,000 sleeper agents —known as sayanim—across America. For the past month, in the utmost secrecy, they have been briefed by former Mossad operations director, Raphael (Rafi) Eitan, on how to update the defense systems of synagogues, Jewish religious schools, Jewish banks, and other Jewish-owned institutions. Many of the sayanim—the name comes from the Hebrew “to help”—have received weapons training during their military service. Others have worked in U.S. military intelligence. A number are currently employed by police forces across the country. “While their allegiance to their birth country cannot be doubted, each sayan recognizes a greater loyalty: the mystical one to Israel and a need to help protect it from its enemies,” Meir Amit, a former Mossad chief, has said. He created the secret force of sayanim. Known as Israel’s “invisible army,” all its members are vetted by professional Mossad intelligence officers, called katsas, before being recruited. Sayanim reported that the FBI has identified 240 individuals living in the United States—mostly Saudis and Syrians—who are openly sympathetic to al Qaeda ... To protect its massive multiple interests in the United States, Israel has decided to act alone. It will be seen by Homeland Security and the FBI as a vote of no confidence in their ability to protect Jewish interests. The information of a possible attack came from two U.S.-based katsas (Mossad agents). Each made a similar report to Mossad chief, Meir Dagan. Both reports stated al Qaeda terrorists in Canada are preparing to launch an attack in the United States. No date or target was provided. The decision to send Eitan—the Mossad spy chief who persuaded Jonathan Pollard to betray all of America’s most important defense secrets to Israel—was made by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Eitan is traveling on an Israeli diplomatic passport throughout the United States—and requests to question him about his activities have been rejected. In order to avoid creating a political problem with Israel, FBI Director Robert Mueller is said to have been ordered by Attorney General John Ashcroft not to question Eitan. A high-level administration source said: “In the end, we are both on the same side. We need to keep Sharon reading the road map to peace—even if it is in tatters right now.” On a recent fishing trip to Ireland, Mueller made plain his feelings along the banks of one of Ireland’s finest salmon rivers. A source close to Mueller said: “Once more the Israelis are trying to run their own show. Eitan appears to have mobilized a private army within the United States which will ultimately only be answerable to Israel.”

Pollard's Lawyers Seek His Early Release, Earthlink (from Associated Press), September 2, 2003. "Jonathan Pollard, given a life sentence for selling military secrets to Israel, appeared in public for the first time in 16 years Tuesday as his lawyers tried to help him win early release. Pollard looked heavier and grayer than the man who stood in the same courthouse and admitted espionage in 1987. The bearded Pollard wore a yarmulke and a green shirt stamped "Arlington County Jail." He nodded hello to his wife in the courtroom's front row, and then sat with hands folded and did not speak as his lawyers argued the government should be forced to turn over secret files that could help his request for clemency. "Jonathan Pollard is sitting here in court today. He asks only for justice and a fair sentencing, as guaranteed by our Constitution," attorney Jacques Semmelman said. "He has not had that." Jewish religious leaders and other supporters filled several rows of the courtroom. Pollard's 89-year-old father, from whom he is estranged, sat separately in the back row. Government lawyers argued that another judge was right to reject Pollard's claims and he should not be allowed to press the case further ... He was not paid when his spying began in 1984, but acknowledged that Israel later began paying him a few thousand dollars a month. Pollard was caught in November 1985 and arrested after unsuccessfully seeking refuge at the Israeli embassy. Pollard initially denied he worked for Israel but later acknowledged it. He claims prosecutors reneged on a promise to seek a lesser sentence in return for his cooperation. His case has been a sticking point in U.S.-Israeli relations. The Israeli government, which granted Pollard citizenship, repeatedly has pressed for his release. A 1998 U.S.-brokered peace accord between Israel and the Palestinians nearly foundered when then-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly linked his agreement to the deal with clemency for Pollard. Then-President Clinton said he had promised only to review the case. During deliberations on clemency, CIA Director George Tenet had told Clinton he would quit if Pollard were freed. Pollard's case was reviewed by federal officials in 2000 but he was left off the list of those granted clemency just before Clinton left office. The Israeli government has continued to press the issue with the Bush administration. "We are using all our efforts to get him released," Raanan Gissin, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, said Tuesday."

["This article was pulled by the Ottawa Sun for unknown reasons within hours of posting" -- also reposted here.] Nine Israelis face deportation.Spy agency suspects they may be foreign agents, By JOHN STEINBACHS and ANDREW SEYMOUR, Cryptome (from Ottawa Sun - Canada), September 19, 2003 "Nine Israeli nationals -- who[m] CSIS suspects are possible foreign agents -- were arrested by Immigration and Ottawa police tactical officers last Friday, blocks from Parliament Hill. The nine have all been charged by Immigration for working in Canada illegally. All are in their 20s and were apparently selling art in Ottawa. The arrests follow similar takedowns of Israelis in Toronto and Calgary over the past few weeks. An Ottawa police source said police were told members of the group were possible agents from Mossad, Israel's spy agency, but given no further information by CSIS. CSIS declined to comment yesterday. All nine have since been released and are staying in several rooms at a Lisgar St. apartment-hotel. Citizenship and Immigration spokesman Rejean Cantlon confirmed that nine Israelis were arrested last Friday for working in Canada without a permit. Immigration hearings were held Wednesday and nine exclusion orders were issued. No weapons Ienav Sofer, Amit Yedudai, Rani Rahuhim Katsov, Roy Laniado, Shulamit Gorelik and Anatoly Belnik received exclusion orders for two years for working without authorization and misrepresentation. Koby Cole, Sharon Moskovitz and Yafit Avram were issued exclusion orders for one year. All will be deported as soon as paperwork is ready, likely within the next few weeks, Cantlon said. They were arrested with the help of tactical and patrol officers Friday between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. No weapons were found in their rooms. Yesterday, eight were found walking down Lisgar St., but offered no comment when asked if they were Israeli art students. This is not the first time students selling art in Ottawa have caused concern with law enforcement. In 2001, Centrepointe residents complained of foreign students selling paintings in their neighourhood that turned out to be fakes. "We're outraged" The story of Israeli art students peddling paintings in foreign countries has been reported in the media and on the Internet in the past."

More Evidence Mossad Killed JFK Over Israeli Nukes. The Missing Link, rense.com, September 28, 2003 "Note - The second item below is a letter from JFK to Israeli Prime Minister Eshkol which makes it crystal clear JFK did NOT want the Jewish state to develop nuclear weapons and that he was demanding regular US inspections of the Dimona Nuclear facility...which, as we now know, was/is used to develop Israel's enormous inventory of atomic and thermonuclear weapons. The US Air Force white paper regarding past and ongoing Israeli thermonuclear blackmail of the US is a stunning look at how Zionism has exerted such staggering domination over the US for decades. -ed)"

Russia: An Israeli tried to steal secrets, Washington Times, Oct. 14, 2003 "Russian officials say they seized a computer diskette from an Israeli man at the Novosibirsk airport that contained information on secret research. The Novosti news agency said the unidentified man was not detained after the disk was confiscated Tuesday as he prepared to board a flight to Israel. The diskette allegedly contained information on unidentified Russian scientific developments. Officials said the diskette was sent to Moscow for examination."

Ex-envoy suspects Israel broke spy vow to Canada. 'False flag' controversy: Secret agents allegedly pretended they were Canadian, by Stewart Bell, National Post (Canada), November 6, 2003 "Canada's former ambassador to Tel Aviv said yesterday he believes Israeli undercover agents may have posed as Canadians during a deadly covert operation last year, breaking a pledge made in 1997. Michael Bell, who retired from the foreign service in August, suspects members of the Israeli Shin Beit security service may have adopted fake Canadian identities as part of a terrorist-assassination mission in Gaza. The Israelis deny their agents used Canada as a "false flag" but Mr. Bell, a Middle East expert, said he is not convinced. "It showed all the signs of traditional intelligence tradecraft," he told the National Post in an interview. The ambassador said when the false flag allegation came to Canada's attention in August, 2002, the Department of Foreign Affairs opted not to make an issue of it, but he believes that may have been the wrong decision. "My concern in this is that the Canadian identity -- whether it's the simple fact of being a Canadian citizen or being a Canadian passport holder -- provides a certain level of positive recognition," he said. "And when that identity or those documents are compromised, then it calls into question the integrity of those documents in future cases or the integrity of that citizenship" ... [L]ast August a Palestinian named Akram Zatmeh went public with a detailed account of how he was coerced into becoming an Israeli informant by undercover agents who convinced him they were Canadians. He said he was recruited by three agents who promised to help him immigrate to Canada, brought him to the Canadian embassy in Tel Aviv and then blackmailed him by producing doctored photos that showed him in sexual encounters. Mr. Zatmeh said the agents told him they would distribute the photos unless he agreed to spy for them in Gaza and provide the names of Palestinians who were shooting at Jewish settlements and Israeli military command posts. On July 23, 2002, Mr. Zatmeh helped Israeli agents pinpoint the location of Sheik Salah Shehadeh, a Hamas leader. Twenty minutes later, an Israeli F-16 fighter jet fired a one-tonne missile at his apartment. The bomb killed not only the sheik but also more than a dozen bystanders, nine of them children. Mr. Zatmeh, 22, was arrested by Palestinian security forces as a collaborator and is facing the death sentence."

[The ADL is corrupt. It is a Thought Police. It is a Jewish spy organization, in this case against Blacks. For the ADL, the mass media is to be milked for its Jewish reporters, who are apparently trusted to explictly JEWISH spying. Here, a Jewish reporter drops the ball in the ADL spy-journalist network.] Jew Gotta Be Kidding, by Howard Altman, City Paper (Philadeolphia), November 13, 19, 2003 "Barry Morrison, executive director of the Philadelphia branch of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), is on the line, reminding me about the time when a guy suggested that someone slit my throat, like they did to Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Oh yeah. The guy who called me a "Jew spy" for reporting where Dick Cheney hides. After a few minutes of chitchat about old times, Morrison segues into a discussion about a group that believes in "reparations" -- payments to blacks as compensation for the ills imposed on African slaves. Reparations? The ADL wants to know from reparations? Well, sort of. Morrison asks me if I know about the reparations conference being held in Philly over the weekend. I tell him I do. He asks if I am going. Probably not, I answer. Why? And here comes the punch line to this story. With the reparationistas in town, Morrison asks me how I would like to spy on them for him. The invitation, let me tell you, shocks and offends. If I didn't spy for the FBI when they asked me to lure an espionage suspect into a sting, why would I spy for Morrison and the ADL? He is dismayed a bit when I tell him I won't do it. There will be some anti-Semitic nutballs in town to discuss whether the United States should pay reparations, he argues. People like Dr. Leonard Jeffries, the CUNY professor who once referred to Jews as "skunks." The ADL wants to know what they are up to, but they can't get anyone in. "Can you or one of your reporters give us some information?" Morrison asks. I am not a big fan of reparations. Then again, I don't want any money from the families of Nazis. But regardless of what I think about reparations, and regardless that I feel that Morrison's outfit does important work, there is no way I am going to give any information to the ADL. Or anyone else ... I have friends and sources in every community. Blacks, whites, Asians, Latinos, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Arabs, LGBT, everybody. Who would talk to me if I were a font of intel for the ADL? It's hard enough getting people to trust the media, Barry. I hope I am not the only one to turn you down."

Israel recruited Dutch UN officers for espionage, by Arjan El Fassed, The Electronic Intifada, November 12, 2003 "Between 1956 and 2003, Israel has recruited Dutch UN officers to spy in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. This happened during the peaks of the Dutch-Israeli friendship. In its recruitment of Dutch officers for intelligence gathering, Israel regularly used blackmail. Arthur ten Cate, a researcher affiliated with the Dutch Institute for Military History in The Hague, recently published a book "Waarnemers op heilige grond" [lit. "Observers on holy ground"], Dutch officers with UNTSO 1956-2003, in which he named two Israeli crimps and Dutch officers who were involved in intelligence gathering for Israel. Outside the public eye, the Netherlands contribute army officers from the ground, air and naval forces to the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization in the Middle East. UNTSO was established in 1948 ... During their missions, Dutch officers were eyewitnesses of the Israeli-Arab conflict. They were in the region during the Suez crisis, at the frontlines of the 1967 June War, the 1973 October War and were present during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and the Gulf War. Ten Cate's book describes the various wars and the conflict in the Middle East from the perspective of these Dutch officers. He describes what they observed and what they reported to the Security Council in New York and how they contributed to the attempts by the international community to contain this conflict. Between 1956 and today, around 500 officers of the Dutch airforce, ground forces and navy operated in UNTSO. He described how a one-sided, pro-Israeli group of officers shifted to a more neutral position. When they returned back to the Netherlands, people did not believe their stories. Often they were branded as "anti-Israeli" or even "anti-semitic". Even though a number of Dutch officers were actively involved in espionage for Israel, the majority of Dutch officers with UNTSO changed their opinion based on what they observed themselves. Ten Cate concludes his book saying that "much earlier than the rest of the Dutch people, the Dutch officers learned that the Israeli-Arab conflict has two sides instead of one." One of the Dutch UN officers named in Ten Cate's book is major G.J. Schüssler, commander of the headquarters of UNTSO in Tiberias. He was approached by the Israeli veterinary surgeon Uzi Ghanoch, who had studied in Utrecht in the Netherlands. He spoke fluent Dutch and he asked Schüssler whether he was willing to work for Israeli intelligence. The Dutch major agreed on condition that he would not receive "any reward". Schüssler provided Israel with intelligence on locations of anti-aircraft artillery in Syria and on Palestinian fedayeen in Jordan. Ten Cate wrote that every Dutch officer working in Tiberias was approached by Ghanoch. Major Ijsbrand Smit, who was with the Dutch airforce, also provided intelligence to Israel. He was married with an agent of the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad. Smit was actively engaged in the recruitment of new spies. Later, when he worked at the NATO headquarters in Bergen and at the Foreign Intelligence Service in The Hague, he continued working for Israel. In 1983 he was exposed. Behind closed doors he appeared before the council of war. The court accepted his defense saying that the co-operation between Israeli and Dutch intelligence was strong and that information would anyway be shared between the two agencies. He was finally released due to "lack of evidence". The Mossad had special interest to recruit UN officers, who observed the truce between Israel and its neighbours. Ten Cate described how married soldiers would be approached by attractive women. They could choose to co-operate or explain to their wives what had happened. When they just started their mission with UNTSO, most Dutch officers were pro-Israel, writes Ten Cate. For some this attitude and position changed over time. The first commander of UNTSO, the Swedish major-general Carl von Horn wrote in his memoires that as well as the Jordanian intelligence as the Israeli intelligence were keeping control over the observers, however, he was most concerned with the approach of the Israeli intelligence. They tapped communications, but also bribed UN personnel or blackmailed them. Von Horn tried to clean his organisation and established a counter-espionage service. The Dutch officers felt isolated, writes Ten Cate. Back home, nobody wanted to hear cases of violations of the ceasefire. The Dutch public only wanted to hear heroic stories of the "brave Jewish pioneers".

Blitz editor arrested on sedition charges, News from Bangladesh "Police arrested Salahuddin Shoeb Chowdhury, editor of a newly-published fortnightly English news magazine Blitz and former managing director of the proposed Inquilab Television (ITV), a satellite television channel yet to air programmes, from Zia International Airport (ZIA) on Saturday. Police said they had evidences of Shoeb’s involvement in ‘seditious’ activities. Top-ranking police sources said Shoeb was on his way to Israel and was offloaded from a Biman flight (BG-084) scheduled to leave for Bangkok and Singapore from ZIA at 10:41am on Saturday. Police said they had also recovered some anti-state documents from his possession. Police also raided Shoeb’s Uttara residence in Dhaka and seized some documents and his personal computer. Shoeb was scheduled to fly to Tel Aviv in Israel where he was supposed to present a paper at a conference there on December 1. His paper contained anti-state statement, police sources said. According to sources, Shoeb had earlier visited Tel Aviv last month and submitted a similar paper at a seminar there. He reportedly described in the paper that global extremist al-Qaeda network existed in Bangladesh and got training in the mosques. It is the second time that Shoeb has been arrested on charge of anti-state activities in the last five years."

Female Bond with a story to sell Nima Zamar, a trained killer for Mossad, believed that she was eliminating ‘real filth’. And that is exactly what she writes in her book, although Israel would like to call her a fantasist. CHARLES BREMNER reports, Becoming a Teacher (from Times of London, September 2003 "A POWERFUL handshake is probably standard for professional killers who dispatch victims with their bare hands. Yet the vigorous grip is a surprise when you meet Nima Zamar, a 33-year-old French woman who has just gone public with an account of life as an agent with a licence to kill for the Israeli secret service, Mossad. Though tall and muscular, Zamar has soft eyes, a quiet voice and trim black hair. She laughs easily, but has a fragile air about her. She could almost be any fit young French woman as she chats in a Left Bank room with her 18-month-old daughter playing nearby. However, average Parisiennes do not usually tell you about strangling, knifing and shooting people or how they cope with torture. "Even when you have no barrier of conscience because you are defending yourself or killing real filth" she says "you notice that the moment that every human being dies, they have an instant of realisation, a sort of childlike flash. "At that moment you understand that life is beautiful. Something very precious. But that doesn’t stop you trying to save your own life." The tale of Zamar -- which is not her real name -- is the stuff of nightmares or the darkest of thrillers. To exorcise demons, she has just recounted her life in a book, Je Devais Aussi Tuer (I Also Had to Kill). The work is making a splash in Paris, but it is so grim that some media are calling it fiction. Others are taking her at her word, as well as that of Albin Michel, her highly respectable publishers. Thierry Pfister, her editor and a prominent figure on the literary scene, is vouching for the truth of her account. He has known Zamar, whose family were Romanian-Jewish immigrants, since she was a small child. Zamar claims that after emigrating to Israel at 22 with a computing degree, she volunteered for military service. She was coerced by a branch of Mossad into two years of training which included Arabic, killing techniques and conditioning for life under cover and torture. She then spent six years in the guise of a Swiss-reared Palestinian deep in the dirty war in the ranks of the the terrorist organisation Hezbollah. On undercover missions to bug Syrian military computers in Lebanon, she was often called upon to kill, in self defence and sometimes in cold blood. She committed her first murder at a Hezbollah camp in Libya. She was ordered by the officers to kill Yasmina, a fellow trainee with whom she had sympathised. This was a standard test to forge obedience and dehumanise recruits. She kills Yasmina without compunction, telling herself that every dead terrorist meant Israeli lives saved. "Slowly, I move behind her, hit her in the throat with a violent blow of the forearm and then strangle her. She lies dead in my arms. I put her on the ground," she writes. What does it take for a woman to put another so calmly to death, one wonders. "They had prepared me intensely and warned me that there would be this kind of test," she says quietly. "I did what I had to do. It was always a case of life and death and saving my skin. It’s like war must have been 1,000 years ago. There’s someone opposite you and there will only be one winner, the one who kills." In the book, she describes her many other victims in similar terms, noting details such as cleaning the flesh off a "useful" foldable knife after the murder of a terrorist official. Women are, she says are perhaps better killers than men because they are less dominated by ego and more willing to serve humbly in the shadows without glory or recognition ... Disillusioned by the rigid and over-demanding methods of Mossad, Zamar says that she left for France in early 2001, escaping a murder attempt with a syringe by a fellow agent at Istanbul airport. He does not survive. Her book, she says, is a way to bear witness and leave an account for her daughter, whose father was a comrade killed on a mission in Iran. She renounces none of her acts nor her love of Israel. "What I wanted to show is the workings of a creaking, archaic system and how someone with determination could extract themselves from it, both mentally and physically without giving up their ideals or their values," she says. Zamar, who masks her face for photographs and television, says that her former masters have let her go. They initially approved the idea of her book but sent back a censored version of the manuscript, reduced to a bare outline. "They were fine as long as I didn’t talk about training or missions and that I was a bit more positive about Israel," she said. She published anyway, although with many details "sterilised". Israel is now trying to discredit her by depicting her as a fantasy- land Mata Hari. How could she have emerged so apparently unscathed from such brutality? "Who says unscathed?" she says, talking of her continuing headaches, damaged body and the post-traumatic stress syndrome that was not averted despite the post-mission work with psychiatrists. The violence has not dehumanised her, as it does for terrorists, she says, because she was helped by the psychiatrists and the knowledge that her cause was just ... However, such an extraordinary, and unprovable, story leaves many with a strong suspicion that it may all be fiction."

[There is no moral degredation limit to protect racist Israel. Fraud is endemic to the pro-Israel movement. And, ho! Look, it gets results. Constantly "monitored" anti-war groups are increasingly sensitized to -- and bend toward -- Jewish fraud.] Antiwar Group Exposes Undercover Activist, By DANIEL J. HEMEL, Harvard Crimson, January 12, 2--4 "An outspoken member of Harvard Students for Israel went undercover in what he says was a quest to gauge anti-Semitism in a campus anti-war group. Members of the Harvard Initiative for Peace and Justice (HIPJ) discovered last week that mysterious anti-Semitic posts on the group’s web log were written by Eric R. Trager ’05, who posted them under an assumed name. Trager said yesterday that he was responsible for the posts in question, but said they were part of his larger effort to monitor anti-Semitism on campus. Trager, who is secretary of Harvard Students for Israel (HSI), had previously accused HIPJ of being too tolerant of anti-Semitic sentiments expressed over its e-mail lists. In a November interview, Trager said that anti-Semitic e-mails sent last spring over the now-defunct HIPJ-Open list “came without any rebuke or organizational distancing from HIPJ.” To determine whether HIPJ would still tolerate anti-Semitism in its midst, Trager said he created the persona of Fabian Cooper, who identified himself as a Boston University graduate student who had taken a year off from his studies to work as a substitute teacher and get involved with local Marxist groups. Trager said the language he used in the posts was modeled after messages previously sent over HIPJ lists. One post signed by Cooper referred to Israel as the “AshkeNAZI state,” playing off the Hebrew name for Jews of Eastern European descent, and called suicide bombers “Palestinian freedom fighters.” A second post attributed to Cooper, written after Saddam Hussein’s capture, claimed that “only a great leader like Saddam Hussein would have had the guts to hit the Zionist imperial colonists with the scud missiles necessary to set the Zionist entity on edge.” According to HIPJ member Amee Chew ’04, the group removed both posts from its website within minutes of their appearance. Trager, a government concentrator in Kirkland House, said HIPJ’s quick response to the Cooper posts signaled a positive trend in relations between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian activists on campus. “I was very pleased that they did erase it,” Trager said. “It indicates the progress that HSI and HIPJ have made in discussions. HIPJ is making an apparent effort to fight anti-Semitism on campus.” But HSI President Joshua Suskewicz ’05 said the incident did not involve the group. “This has nothing to do with HSI,” he said. Trager said he hopes the Fabian Cooper incident “will throw a little bit of humor” into talks between HIPJ and HSI ... Others in the [HIPJ] group, however, said they were not amused by Trager’s antics. Chew said she was “shocked that [Trager] would stoop to this” and termed his posts “reckless.” “I don’t think that Harvard should be a place where people practice to become FBI or CIA agents,” said HIPJ member Daniel DiMaggio ’04. “I think that this type of behavior deserves the utmost censure on the part of the student body and all members of the Harvard community.” “Members of [HSI] and HIPJ have been working behind the scenes to promote a more positive dialogue on campus,” Suskewicz said. “I hope that this doesn’t interfere in any way.”

Bangladeshi editor charged with sedition for links with Israel, tarnishing country's image, Highmark Funds (from Associated Press), January 25, 2004 "A Bangladeshi magazine editor arrested for suspected links with an Israeli literary group has been charged with sedition for allegedly trying to tarnish the country's image aboard, a police official said Sunday. Bangladesh, a moderate Muslim country, bars its citizens from formal contact - such as business dealings or cultural exchanges - with Israelis. Traveling to Israel is also restricted. Police detained Salauddin Shoib Chowdhury, the editor of entertainment magazine Blitz, on Nov. 29 as he was boarding a flight in Dhaka for Bangkok. He allegedly was planning to travel to Tel Aviv. Immigration officials found in Chowdhury's possession an invitation to a literary conference organized by the Hebrew Writers Association in Tel Aviv on Dec. 1. They also seized a paper - containing remarks calling Bangladesh and its people Muslim fundamentalists - that Chowdhury was to present at the conference, police said. Police said they also confiscated fax and e-mail messages and computer disks from his residence and office, including a project proposal seeking 120 million takas (US$2 million) from a Jewish group to publish three newspapers. Police did not name the group or say what type of newspapers they were. On Saturday, police filed a case under a sedition law accusing Chowdhury of anti-state activities for having contacts with Israelis and trying to tarnish the country's image abroad, said Mohammed Abdul Hanif, a police official. Chowdhury, who has denied all charges, could be jailed for life if found guilty. The police investigation proved "beyond doubt that he was trying to tarnish the image of Bangladesh, so he should be charged with anti-state activities," the police said in the case filed with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. Chowdhury was also charged with hurting the religious sentiments of Bangladeshis, which carries a maximum two-year jail term and a fine. He remains in custody after being denied bail in early December. Chowdhury was recently named as head of the Bangladeshi branch of the Israel-based International Forum for Literature and Culture for Peace, which links writers campaigning for an end to violence, the group said earlier in a statement. Forum president Ada Aharoni called the arrest an unwarranted attack on an advocate of dialogue between Muslims and Jews. Bangladesh, which strongly supports a Palestinian state, has no official, political or economic ties with Israel."

[Famous Mossad network living in Orlando, Florida:] The spy - and the man she busted. Using womanly skills, a young Israeli agent snares a whistleblower. Now, his pending release revives the notorious case, By SUSAN TAYLOR MARTIN, St. Petersburg Times (FL), March 21, 2004 ----"She drives a red Cutlass convertible and lives in a gated community. Like thousands of others, she worked in that quintessential Florida profession - selling real estate. At 44, Cheryl Hanin leads an unremarkable life. It is a far cry from the past, when she was known as "Cindy" and had a very different career: Spying for the Mossad, Israel's crack intelligence service. In 1986, Hanin was an undercover agent when a British newspaper published a sensational story about Israel's vast and secretive nuclear weapons program. Posing as an American tourist, "Cindy" lured the whistle-blower - a former nuclear technician named Mordechai Vanunu - from London to Rome. There, other agents drugged him, chained him and shipped him back to Israel to stand trial. Vanunu was convicted of treason and espionage. After 18 years in prison, he is due for release next month - raising a fresh storm of controversy about Israel's nuclear program and one of the most notorious cases in modern spy history. To many, Hanin was a hero who helped bring a turncoat to justice. Without her, they say, Vanunu might have continued to spill secrets that threatened Israel's national security. "His reputation is very bad," says Yossi Melman, who covers security issues for the Israeli daily Ha'aretz. "He is considered by many as a traitor." But to his legion of supporters in the United States and elsewhere, Vanunu is the true hero, a peace-loving man who thought the world had a right to know about the huge nuclear arsenal Israel was developing. His admirers - who repeatedly have nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize - charge he was illegally seized on foreign soil by a spy agency that knows no bounds. "This woman destroyed Mordechai's life," says Peter Hounam, the reporter who first interviewed Vanunu in 1986. "He trusted her, she deliberately placed him in a position where his defenses were down. He was lonely, and she and her Mossad team took advantage of that. I have nothing but contempt for what she did." Neither Hanin nor Vanunu has ever spoken publicly about the case. That has sparked the inevitable questions: Does Vanunu still have warm feelings for Cindy? And is Cindy still working for the Mossad? "A woman has skills' Born in 1960, Cheryl Hanin grew up in Pennsylvania and Orlando in a Jewish family that owed its affluence to tires. Her father, Stanley Hanin, founded Allied Discount Tires, a chain of stores best known for its shrill ads with a tipsy pitchman: "Tahrs ain't pretty, but you gotta have them!" ... As her parents went through a bitter divorce, Hanin had her own life-changing experience: She spent a semester in Israel, studying Hebrew and Jewish history. She was so captivated by the country that upon graduation in 1978, she joined the Israeli armyv ... As a Mossad recruit, Hanin would have gone through a regimen designed to test an agent's mettle under the most challenging of circumstances ... The woman called herself "Cindy" and said she was a beautician on vacation from America. She suggested they meet the next day at the Tate Gallery; Vanunu, pleased she shared his interest in the arts, agreed. Although he did not realize it, Vanunu had fallen into a classic "honey trap." The Mossad, familiar with his desires and weaknesses, knew exactly how to lure him. ... It is probable that Cheryl was not the only Mossad Mata Hari lurking around and flashing her eyes in Morde's direction. ... After Vanunu's capture, Hounam tracked Cheryl Hanin to Netanya, a city on Israel's Mediterranean coast ... In 1997, another Sunday Times reporter found Hanin back home in Orlando, in a "secluded villa." Again, she said little except to voice concern that any story about her should not "harm her position in America." According to the paper, the couple also had a villa in Israel, in an area that is home to many security officials. Hanin "continues to work for Mossad, according to her Israeli neighbors," the Sunday Times said. "She and her husband, they believe, have rented out their house, while she is engaged in an overseas assignment, and are expected some day to return." Today, Hanin and Ben Tov, parents of two daughters, seem firmly rooted in Central Florida. They live in Alaqua, which bills itself as "Seminole County's most exclusive estate home community." Their 4,000-square-foot golf course home - purchased in Hanin's name in 1998 and assessed at $528,000 - is among the more modest in a place where custom residences sell in the millions. Now 50, Ben Tov is a trainee appraiser for one of Orlando's largest real estate appraisal firms. Among the company's clients have been military bases and local governments. The burly Ben Tov, dressed in khakis and a maroon knit shirt, declined a request for an interview when a reporter visited the firm's headquarters in downtown Orlando. "So long, see you later," he said, and quickly retreated to his office. Hanin's brother and his wife, Cindy - from whom Hanin got her Mossad cover name - also declined to talk about Hanin, as did her mother. All live in the Orlando area. Until recently, state records showed Hanin had an active real estate sales license and was employed by CFI Sales & Marketing of Orlando. But CFI, whose Westgate Resorts is one of the world's largest timeshare companies, said Hanin was terminated in 1997, the same year the Sunday Times found her in Orlando. CFI president David A. Siegel said Hanin likely was fired because she did not meet sales goals. He said he had heard about the Vanunu controversy, but had no idea Hanin was involved. "We had someone like that working for us?" he asked. After the St. Petersburg Times began looking into Hanin's background, state records were changed to show her license is inactive, with no reference to CFI. Officials could not say who requested the change: CFI says it did not. Could Hanin still be working for the Mossad? "No way," says Melman of Ha'aretz. "She was burned - her identity was revealed and she was too prominent." But Hounam, the former Sunday Times reporter who became one of Vanunu's staunchest supporters, is not so sure. "I think she probably is still doing some stuff for the Mossad . . . because once you train someone to do a job like this, you don't want to lose them. . . . The only satisfaction I've had in 18 years is being able to track her down and expose her identity, which means her future career was damaged," he said. "Indeed, she was not able to travel to the (United Kingdom) again in case the British authorities might have tried to arrest her." And what did Hanin have to say, reached by phone at home one morning? "I have no interest in talking," a brusque voice replied. Click."

Old damning News, but always worth another look: The famous CENSORED Fox News Carl Cameron report on massive Israeli spying in the United States, here in both text and videotape form. Information Clearinghouse

A cartoonist and a spy, by JOHN CHERIAN, Frontline (India's National Magazine from the publishers of THE HINDU), Volume 21 - Issue 08, April 10 - 23, 2004 "RANAN LURIE'S cartoons have graced the columns of leading newspapers and magazines of the world. They have been hard-hitting, though his right-wing political bias comes through frequently. During his heyday in international journalism, Lurie could pick up the telephone and speak to many leading Western statesmen and international personalities. Few of them knew that Lurie was a "double agent", working for the Israeli secret agency Mossad and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States. The Guinness Book of Records has described Lurie as the world's most popular caricaturist whose works have appeared continuously for 20 straight years on a regular basis in more than a thousand papers in 103 countries. His political cartoons have appeared in publications like Time, Newsweek, Foreign Affairs, Asahi Shimbun and Die Welt. According to articles that have appeared in the Israeli media, Lurie has admitted that he was recruited at an early age by the Israeli security agencies. Mossad realised that the talented young cartoonist could be launched into the international media scene, where he could turn out to be a useful asset. Mossad provided the springboard into international journalism for the young Lurie by purchasing a weekly magazine in Israel. Lurie was given a prominent profile in the magazine. Its circulation was artificially boosted by Mossad, which purchased its copies in bulk. The Israeli authorities saw to it that the soaring circulation of the magazine was attributed mainly to the journalistic skills of Lurie. If reports appearing in the Israeli media are to be believed, Lurie's earlier exploits for the Israeli security services before he became a media star had made him a prized asset. Lurie, posing as an Australian journalist, had gained access to the Egyptian Navy's flagship "Domiat". His assignment was to find out whether the Egyptians had begun to use the naval radar supplied by the Soviet Union. Lurie successfully accomplished the mission ... The CIA soon found out about Lurie's secret life as an Israeli agent embedded in the upper crust of American society. Mossad was left with no choice but to share its prized asset with the CIA. Lurie continued in international journalism, happily supplying information to two masters at the same time. Lurie is now busy writing a book about his duplicitous career. In interviews to the Israeli media, he has expressed no regrets. His story will add credibility to the widespread belief that Western and Israeli security services have infiltrated key sectors of the media in many countries, including developing ones."

[More "anti-Semitism," this time from New Zealand. If these Jewish Mossad crooks don't just sneak out of New Zealand, Israel will mount pressure on the U.S. government through the world Jewish Lobby and American pressure on New Zealand will ultimately free them. One way or the other, these criminals fly.] Foreign spy charges whip up top-level security storm, By BRIDGET CARTER, TONY STICKLEY AND EUGENE BINGHAM, New Zealand Herald, April 17, 2004 "Two men believed by senior Government figures to be Israeli secret service agents have been arrested in Auckland trying to obtain a false New Zealand passport. The case has set off alarm bells that Mossad spies may be masquerading as harmless New Zealand travellers abroad. Prime Minister Helen Clark said last night she would not comment while the case was before the court, but confirmed the Government had raised the matter directly with the Israeli Government. "There will be a strong and public response to this matter once the court action has concluded," she told the Weekend Herald. Officials, lawyers, police and Helen Clark's spokesman refused to confirm or deny the Mossad link. The acting Israeli Ambassador, Orna Sagiv, last night refused to comment. The case is the first known example of foreign agents appearing in a New Zealand court since the 1985 arrest of two French agents who blew up the Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior in Auckland harbour, killing one crewmember. It is understood the Israeli Government wanted the case kept out of the New Zealand court system, and this issue is likely to have been a point of diplomatic friction. But the case has proceeded, indicating the Government has not bowed to pressure from Tel Aviv. International security concerns are at an all-time high and New Zealand views the clandestine Israeli secret service activities here with grave concern. Weekend Herald investigations into the case were stonewalled by New Zealand officials until the men appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday. Urie Zoshe Kelman, 30, and Eli Cara, 50, have denied three joint charges including attempting to obtain a New Zealand passport and participating in an organised crime group to obtain a false passport. Details that emerged in court revealed two other men were involved. Zev William Barkan, 37, has fled the country and authorities concede they would not know where to find him. A fourth man is believed to be here but police say the others refuse to identify him. The group had been in and out of the country since last November. Cara, who says he is a Sydney-based travel agent, has travelled in and out 24 times since October 2000. The court heard the visits since last year were allegedly for the purpose of obtaining a false New Zealand identity for one of the men. They allegedly made a passport application using a birth certificate of a cerebral palsy sufferer who authorities say was an innocent victim of the scam. After being tipped off by Internal Affairs, detectives mounted a surveillance operation on March 23, dispatching a package meant to resemble the passport and watching to see who would pick it up. In the meantime, Cara and Kelman were allegedly carrying out their own surveillance of the package. Cara was approached by police as he sat in a cafe across the road from one drop-off point. Kelman was arrested after he was seen walking away from another point, throwing a cellphone into bushes. Kelman and Cara first appeared in court late last month. At yesterday's appearance their case was fast-tracked in highly unusual circumstances. They were committed for trial by consent of the defence, although they did not admit there was a prima facie case. The men were granted bail by Judge Chris Field who imposed reporting and curfew conditions after rejecting police applications to keep them in custody because of flight risk. Police were represented by Auckland-based prosecutor Fletcher Pilditch, though Wellington has taken a clear interest in the case and the office of the Solicitor-General, Terence Arnold, QC, has also been involved. Outside court, Cara denied being a member of the Israeli secret service. Asked if there had been a misunderstanding, he said, "I think so." ... Kelman has been staying at the Kiwi Hotel in Queen St and the Duxton Hotel. He has Israeli and Canadian passports. Internationally, there have been cases of Mossad agents being discovered trying to pass themselves off as nationals of neutral countries. In 1997, Mossad agents were caught using Canadian passports during a failed assassination attempt on an Islamic official in Jordan. In 2000, a Mossad operative was handed a suspended sentence after being accused of espionage and repeated use of false identity documents in Switzerland. New Zealand passports have become increasingly sought-after on the black market, not just for spies but for terrorists and drug couriers. Four years ago, a member of an al Qaeda cell that plotted to bomb Los Angeles at the turn of the millennium was uncovered travelling on a stolen New Zealand passport. It is understood the Government is concerned that revelations that Mossad agents may be using New Zealand travel documents could put New Zealanders at risk. Helen Clark said last night: "The Government takes seriously any action which challenges the integrity of the New Zealand passport system."

Israeli gets 3.5 years for people smuggling in New Zealand, By DPA, Haaretz (Israel), April 6, 2004 "A 34-year-old Israeli was jailed for three-and-a-half years on Tuesday, after failing to convince a judge he should only be fined for trying to smuggle three Ukrainians into New Zealand. Rejecting Victor Chechelnitski's offer to pay a fine of 10,000 New Zealand dollars (about 6,600 U.S. dollars), the Auckland High Court judge said that would be seen by people smugglers as a business expense. Police said Chechelnitski was arrested in February when he flew from Bangkok into Auckland with three Ukrainians he had given false Israeli passports. He was the first person convicted under tough new people smuggling laws passed in 2002, which carry a maximum prison sentence of 20 years. The judge said that Chechelnitski was not the organizer of the immigrant-smuggling racket but more of a courier, and noted that the trio had been brought to New Zealand on a plane, not a leaky boat, Radio New Zealand reported. The three Ukrainians, named by police as Serhiy Manyk, Iryna Manyk and Anatoliy Hushul, were said to have paid 7,800 U.S. dollars in Kiev to reach New Zealand. They have been charged with possessing false passports."

ASIO hunts Israeli cell, By Lincoln Wright, News.com.au (Australia - from Sunday Herald Sun), April 18, 2004 "The nation's spy-catchers are investigating a suspected Israeli spy ring in Australia. The Australian Security Intelligence Organisation has been investigating the suspected cell for up to a month. Two Israeli citizens appeared in an Auckland court on Friday charged with passport fraud. One of them, Eli Cara, claimed to be a Sydney travel agent. He has travelled to New Zealand 24 times since October 2000. Cara, 50, and Zoshe Kelman, 30, faced three charges after being arrested in a police sting operation late last March. Another Israeli, Zev William Barkan, 37, escaped from NZ. A fourth man is believed to be in hiding. The men are suspected of being Mossad agents, who allegedly were gathering fake NZ passports. Fake passports are used by intelligence bodies to help their agents travel undercover. Mossad, the Israeli secret service, has been accused previously of illegally using Canadian passports. A spokesman for Attorney-General Philip Ruddock confirmed yesterday that ASIO had been investigating the matter. He said ASIO had been in touch with its NZ counterparts. He said the two Israelis had applied for a passport using the birth certificate of a person with cerebral palsy. NZ police staged a surveillance operation of the site where the passport was sent on March 23. The two Israelis were also staking out the site, but were then arrested. Cara was sitting in a cafe, while Kelman was arrested walking away after throwing his mobile phone into a bush. After the pair was released on bail, Cara denied being a Mossad agent when asked about his arrest. Intelligence sources told the Sunday Herald Sun that the NZ arrests would have set off alarm bells at ASIO headquarters in Canberra. If Israel had gone to the trouble of setting up a genuine business in Sydney as a front for spying, then that would be an extraordinary step, a source said. ASIO would not be investigating the case unless they suspected the pair was undeclared spies, the source said. Israel (as with other countries) could declare its spies to ASIO, and the security service would know who was who at the country's embassy in Canberra. "But some countries have undeclared spies, which is seen as pretty sneaky - and snaky," another source said. The time and expense of running a genuine business front would indicate a deep commitment to an operation in Sydney or the South Pacific. NZ Prime Minister Helen Clark has refused to confirm whether the arrested men were Mossad agents. But she has contacted the Israeli government about the case. In the late 1970s, Israel was rumoured to have set up a spy ring in Melbourne to keep an eye on anti-Israeli activists. Israel's acting ambassador to NZ and Australia, Orna Sagiv, said yesterday she would not comment until the court proceedings had been completed. "There are two Israeli citizens there before the justice system, but it's better to wait before coming to conclusions," she said. A former Israeli Defence Force officer expressed surprise at the clumsiness of the operation, but added authorities could not be sure the charged men's names were real if they were Mossad agents. "Israel has spies everywhere, but Mossad is usually more professional than that," the IDF officer said. Mossad generally was quite careful about whom it sent undercover, preferring people with links to the country they were spying upon. "The aim is to blend into the local community," the officer said. "These agents have layers and layers of false identities."

The unseen negotiator, by Mark Perry, The Palestine Report, April 14, 2004 "In the months of negotiations leading up to the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993 the Israeli team was informed of each Palestinian position through reports given them by a senior PLO diplomat. The spy, later uncovered by the PLO, gave the Israelis an inside view of Palestinian thinking - and a clear advantage in the Oslo talks. Did the spy help? "Please, this is a rhetorical question," Shimon Peres said in Washington just prior to the September 1993 signing of the agreement. "It was like we were negotiating with ourselves." History has now repeated itself, though the Israelis have no need for a Palestinian spy. Over a period of 60 days, since Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced his plan to unilaterally withdraw from Gaza, Israeli and US officials have been negotiating an exchange of letters that will give US blessing to the Israeli initiative and set a baseline for future political initiatives. The only difference between 1993 and now, of course, is that the Palestinians are nowhere to be seen - and Israel is not about to engage in negotiations with a government that it claims is supporting terrorism."

Axis Of Spies, TomPaine.Comnon sense, September 1, 2004 "Here's the axis we should be worried about: The Axis of Spies made up by the American Enterprise Institute, AIPAC and the Embassy of Israel. If the FBI weren’t so busy trying to catch nonexistent Al Qaeda suspects, they might consider devoting a few more resources to tracking down this expanding Israeli nest of spies. (Oh, and The New Republic is very quiet on the Larry Franklin spy scandal so far. Very quiet. Too quiet.) The Jerusalem Post reports, at least, the FBI has seized computer files from AIPAC’s Steve Rosen, a good start: FBI agents on Friday copied the computer hard drive of a senior staffer at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee who has been questioned in relation to the case of a Pentagon official suspected of turning over a classified document either directly to Israel, or via the pro-Israel lobby group. That same article, which you can read here , notes that members of Congress are rallying (predictably) around AIPAC. Welcome to the nest of spies, Congressman Hoyer. Haaretz reports that Abraham Foxman of the ADL is huffing and puffing, demanding that a special commission be appointed to investigate the person who leaked the probe. That’s dangerous, Mr. Foxman, because the person who leaked it did so, it is now obvious, in order to stop the investigation, since Franklin was cooperating with the FBI to help them get deeper into the nest of spies. So if we find out who leaked it in the first place, it won’t make Foxman happy ... Both Steve Rosen, and another AIPAC spy (okay, alleged spy) Keith Weissman, are named as part of the FBI’s investigation, according to the Jewish Telegraph Agency and the Los Angeles Times. Neither Rosen nor Weissman have emerged to defend themselves. “You mean us? Spies?” According to the New York Times, both have been interviewed by the FBI, and are being defended by (who else?) Abbe Lowell. The Times also quotes the Israeli ambassador, Danny Ayalon, saying that the investigation is “fizzling out because there's nothing there.” Besides, we shredded all that. Meanwhile Jim Lobe, bane of neocons, writing for Inter Press Service, has a wonderful piece reminding us that Larry Franklin, the hapless Pentagon apparatchik and official Stooge of Feith, who wandered into an AIPAC-Israeli embassy meeting that was being monitored by the FBI, is just the tip of the iceberg. As Lobe points out, many of the principals in the U.S. Israeli lobby have been caught up in spy probes going back 25 years, including Steve Bryen and Doug Feith himself. Also under investigation have been Richard Perle, Michael Ledeen and Paul Wolfowitz, as Lobe reports, citing a book by Stephen Green, Taking Sides: America's Secret Relations with a Militant Israel: Perle, Ledeen, and Wolfowitz have also been the subject of FBI inquiries, according to Green's account. In 1970, one year after he was hired by Senator Henry "Scoop" Jackson, an FBI wiretap authorized for the Israeli Embassy picked up Perle discussing classified information with an embassy official, while Wolfowitz was investigated in 1978 for providing a classified document on the proposed sale of a U.S. weapons system to an Arab government to an Israeli official via an AIPAC staffer."

Is there a connection between NSA phone records database , Amdocs and 9/11?
WayneMadsenReport Israeli art students link to Amdocs
May 16, 2006 -- Interesting confluence of activities surround Sky Way's aircraft confiscated in Mexico with 5.5 tons of cocaine and pre-911 Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigation of Israeli art students involved in suspicious activities in Dallas-Fort Worth area and Venice, Florida in close proximity to some of the 911 hijackers. That DEA investigation was shut down on orders from Attorney General John Ashcroft and FBI Director Robert Mueller.

This is a further clue that those who planned and carried out the 911 attacks were heavily involved with drug smuggling. These reportedly include elements of Russian-Israeli-Ukrainian (RUIM) organized crime, Latin American narco-dealers, U.S. operatives of the radical right-wing Israeli Kach Party, Saudi billionaire businessmen and Pakistani intermediaries, and political officials close to the GOP in Texas and Florida. For example, links have been established between Red Sea Management in Costa Rica, a company linked to the Sky Way cocaine plane, and the Israeli embassy in San Jose.

Urban Moving Systems
source: Liberty Post
On Sept. 11, 2001, five Israeli men in a van marked "Urban Moving Systems," were detained after East Rutherford police were told that the men were "smiling and exchanging high-fives" when they saw the Trade Center burning across the Hudson River, according to the memorandum. An arresting officer, Sgt. Dennis Rivelli, now a lieutenant with the East Rutherford police, reported that one of the suspects said "We're Israelis" when police stopped them on Sept. 11. According to the memorandum, the men - Sivan Kurzberg, Paul Kurzberg, Yaron Shmuel, Oded Ellner and Omer Marmari - were questioned by the FBI and detained for several weeks. Eventually, they were deported on visa violations. According to Shea, Dominik Suter, listed as the owner of the "Urban Moving Systems," was questioned by the FBI, but then fled the country. Eventually, Suter's name appeared on the May 2002 FBI Suspect List, along with the Sept. 11 hijackers and other suspected Muslim extremists.  search: Kurzberg Shmuel Ellner Marmari  search: Kurzberg Shmuel Ellner Marmari
