WMR Phil Marshall's "docu-novel" cites Poppy and Jeb Bush as villains in Iran-contra

SPECIAL REPORT. Phil Marshall's "docu-novel" cites Poppy and Jeb Bush as villains in Iran-contra

Did Phil Marshall have new information on a videotape that showed Jeb and Dubya taking possession of 2 kilos of cocaine at an airfield in Fort Meyers, FL?

Before author and former Eastern and United pilot Philip Marshall wrote two non-fiction books debunking the official 9/11 Commission report, he penned a "docu-novel" about his early role in the CIA's drug and weapons smuggling operations leading up to the Iran-contra scandal.

In his book Lakefront Airport, Marshall, obviously not wanting to run afoul of his former CIA and Drug Enforcement Administration colleagues from his work with the agencies in the early 1980s, changed the names of several key players to fictional ones. The book is largely centered around CIA dope and weapons smuggling operations at New Orleans' Lakefront Airport, located on the southern shores of Lake Pontchartrain. It is quite clear to whom Marshall was referring in his novel centered on the the swashbuckling bush pilots who flew covert drug and weapons smuggling missions for the CIA and its Colombian drug cartel allies in order to provide funding for the contras fighting the Sandinista government of Nicaragua.

In fact, two of Marshall's antagonists are clearly Vice President George H W Bush, called "the VP," and his pretentious-Florida businessman and cocaine-smuggling son, who is obviously Jeb Bush. With Jeb Bush all but announcing his candidacy for president in 2016, Marshall's knowledge of the role he played in the Iran-contra scandal clearly made the California author a marked man.

In his book, Marshall actually uses the name that Lt. Col. Oliver North, CIA director William Casey's hand-picked operations chief for the Iran-contra operation, used for himself as an alias: John Cathey. Marshall seems to have had inside knowledge of discussions between North (Cathey) and Barry Seal, who Marshall refers to as "Brophy Wales." And Marshall even gives himself a nom de plume, Randolph (Rand) Chapman, who is Seal's pilot, as well as an independent contract Learjet pilot flying missions for the CIA out of Lakefront Airport; Midland and Odessa, Texas (for a company associated with the son of "VP" that sounds awfully like Arbusto Energy, which became Bush Energy in 1982); and Mena, Arkansas.  Mena was a CIA base for training Nicaraguan contra pilots and manufacturing and smuggling weapons to Central America, all with the support of Casey's apprentice, a young Democratic governor with presidential ambitions who Casey has promised the White House in return for the gubernatorial assistance in setting up Mena as a major CIA base.

The interest of Marshall in the 9/11 attack and the Saudi government's inside involvement in the terror operation in cahoots with the Bush family could stem from Marshall's work in Midland in the early 1980s. One of the initial investors in Bush's Arbusto Energy, to the tune of $1 million, was Salem bin Laden, the older brother of Osama bin Laden.

The record now shows that Mena was, in fact, a CIA operating base for Central American operations. One of the CIA's front companies used to hide the Mena operation, and confirmed by Marshall in his book, was Rich Mountain Aviation. The contra pilot training was code named Centaur Rose, the weapons manufacturing and smuggling was code named Jade Bridge, and the ultimate transfer of the arms manufacturing operations to Mexico was code named Screw Worm.

Other principals in Marshall's book are not difficult to identify. "Pablo" is Medellin Cartel drug lord Pablo Escobar. "Jorge Ortiz" is Escobar's number three, Pablo Ochill.  Escobar was killed by the Colombian National Police on December 2, 1993 after a major U.S. intelligence operation code named CENTRA SPIKE. Ochilla was gunned down in Miami the same day that Seal was assassinated gangland-style in Baton Rouge, February 19, 1986.

Seal's attorney, who tangled with U.S. Judge for the Middle District of Louisiana Frank Polozola, is called "Ben Richard" in Marshall's book. In reality, he was Lewis Unglesby. Marshall describes a heated argument between Polozola, who Marshall calls "Frank Palone" and, Unglesby (Richard) over the judge's decision to place Seal, who was a potential witness against Vice President Bush and his two sons, Jeb and George W., in cocaine smuggling into the United States, in harm's way.

Polozola died at his home from cancer on February 26. His death came while he continued to serve on the federal bench as the senior judge for U.S. Circuit Court in Baton Rouge and was just a few weeks after Marshall and his teenage children were found shot to death in their Murphys, California home. The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department reported that Marshall shot his children and the family dog before turning his 9 mm Glock on himself.

After being briefed that Seal was a high-profile potential witness in drug smuggling involving high-level officials of the U.S. government, "Palone" (Polozola) tells "Wales" (Seal), "As far as I'm concerned, drug dealers like Mr. Wales are the lowest, most despicable type of people. In my own opinion, people like you, Mr. Wales, should be in a Federal penitentiary. You all ought to be there working at hard labor. Working in the hottest sun or the coldest day wouldn't be good enough for drug dealers like you."

The judge adds, "Your probation is going to be strict. No bodyguards."

Richard (Unglesby) jumped up and responded, "Your honor! My client has a million-dollar price on his head."

Valore (Polozola) replied, "Take your chances, Mr. Wales. Take your chances. Have bodyguards with guns, and take your chances . . . And if you leave Louisiana, I don't care if it's the CIA, I don't care it it's the State Department. I don't care if it's the U.S. Attorney. I don't care who it is, you don't go any place, any place, without my personal written approval in advance."

Richard asked the judge, "Do you want them all to notify you? Mr. Wales happens to speak with all those agencies."

The judge shot back, "We only have one government, sir."

To which Richard replied, "In this case . . . I have found that not to be exactly true."

Valore (Polozola) then issues his order for Marshall's one-time partner. "As a further condition of your probation, Mr. Wales, you will reside at the Salvation Army Community Treatment Center at 7361 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a period of six months."  In fact, it was at the parking lot of the Salvation Army center that Seal was cut down by multiple gunshots.

The defense attorney lashes out that it is a double-cross by the government, which assured that there would be no incarceration for Seal. Seal immediately saw himself as what Marshall called "a clay pigeon."

Marshall then describes what North (Cathey) did from a pay phone two blocks from the White House. North dialed a phone in a mountaintop lair overlooking Medellin, Colombia and stated: "For your information, Mr. Brophy "El Gordo" Wales is residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has been ordered to be there every night at six p.m. by a U.S. Federal judge. Would you like the address?"

Marshall describes an earlier meeting between North and the vice president, in which North says that Seal will self-destruct and that "he'll be in Valore's (Polozola's) district." North assures Bush that as for Seal's threats to go public on Bush and himself, "Credibility fades from behind bars . . . or six feet under."

The person at the other end of the phone in Colombia took down the address on Airline Highway.

Although Seal's killers were never caught, it is assumed that the hit team was sent by the Medellin Cartel as revenge for Seal becoming an informant for the DEA and CIA. Vice President Bush's private phone number at the White House was found in Seal's car after his assassination.

Marshall (as Rand Chapman) also becomes aware of a video tape of Jeb and George W. Bush receiving two kilograms of cocaine at a favorite CIA cocaine smuggling airfield in Fort Meyers, Florida.

Marshall has Wales (Seal) telling his DEA superior: "Evidently, you all had some video taken of a transfer in Ft. Meyers last month . . . Your partner had me trace the airplane's tail number  . . . It's a corporate asset from a drilling company in Odessa, Texas. The company is run by close ties to the  . . . our . . . VP." Feigning disbelief, the DEA agent replies, "You must be shitting."

The Bush sons are seen taking two kilos while a King Air is being loaded up with cocaine.

Seal replies, "Shit this. Your boys have a videotape of his sons taking delivery of at least two kilos." Seal demands that the DEA supply him with a copy of the tape as a "get out of jail free card." Marshall does not reveal whether Seal ever received a copy of the tape that showed Jeb and Dubya taking possession of cocaine from the Medellin cartel but if Marshall later managed to obtain a copy of the tape and it was that to which he referred to as "surprising" information in his next book, there are vested interests who would have ordered Marshall killed and the tape stolen.

Could someone have provided Marshall with a copy of that tape just as Jeb Bush began setting up his 2016 presidential campaign exploratory committee? Was that among the shocking things Marshall planned to write about in his fourth book? Was it a compromising photograph that would derail Jeb Bush's presidential hopes that was of interest to the investigators who combed Marshall's home during the days and nights after his and his children's lifeless bodies were discovered on February 2, 2013? And what was on Marshall's computer and in his files that resulted in their final disposition remaining unknown?

There are a number of other characters in Lakefront Airport who match individual or composite descriptions of a number of Iran-contra players. Marshall's use of  for his real-life associates is in keeping with the actual use of aliases by key Iran-contra figures. In addition to John Cathey, the assumed name of North, Vice President Bush's chief national security assistant Donald Gregg used the alias of "Dan Magruder" while "Robert Johnson" was actually Casey's chief assistant William Barr, who President George H W Bush named as his Attorney General.

"Robert Haynes" was the man who ran the CIA' cocaine smuggling business, Theodore "Ted" Shackley, also known as the "Blond Ghost." Shackley links to such CIA operatives Felix Rodriguez, Dewey "Duane" Clarridge, Major General Richard V. Secord (the head of North's southern states operation in support of the contras called "The Enterprise"), Bush's deputy national security adviser Sam Watson, and Joe Fernandez, the CIA station chief in Costa Rica who used the alias of Tomas Castillo. Rodriguez, Seal, and Porter Goss, who George W. Bush would appoint and then fire as CIA director, were all principals in the Group of 40, part of Operation 40, Allen Dulles's program to overthrow Fidel Castro in Cuba. In addition to Shackley, Rodriguez, and Seal, other members of the Group of 40 included Lee Harvey Oswald's CIA controller David Atlee Phillips, E. Howard Hunt, Watergate burglars Frank Sturgis and Bernard Barker, and Edwin Wilson, later jailed on trumped up evidence for smuggling arms to Muammar Qaddafi in Libya.

Marshall's docu-novel does contain a cryptic reference to senior Skull and Bones alumni who were powerful members of government and industry insisting that the "Papa Dee" [plausible deniability]  about President John F. Kennedy's brain being blown out of the back of his head from a frontal shot was to stick to the official conclusion that "one man from the rear had delivered three perfect shots from an impossible angle." It is the same sort of unbelievable conclusion that the Calaveras County Sheriff arrived at in determining Marshall shot his two beloved children, his small dog, and then himself.

Marshall's co-pilot and associate while flying missions for the CIA is called "Ken Hotchkiss." Other aliases are "Jim Benson" and "Camille Mouton." In reality, they could be a number of World War II and Vietnam-era CIA contract pilots, co-pilots, and aircraft support personnel who joined North's and Casey's covert and illegal Central America operation. They flew for CIA proprietary airlines like Southern Air Transport, Tepper Aviation, and Corporate Air Services and filed official Department of Defense flight plans. These "magnificent men and their flying machines" included, in addition to Marshall, Brig. Gen. Russell Bowen, Terry Reed, Jeb Bush's Eagle National Bank accomplice Manny Perez, Chip Tatum, and George Morales. The latter, a CIA contractor, died from slipping on a bar of soap in the prison shower the day before his release from prison in Florida for cocaine trafficking and his flight to Washington, DC to testify on the CIA's drug and weapons smuggling operations before Democratic Representatives Bill Alexander of Arkansas, Charlie Rose of North Carolina, and Henry Gonzalez and Jack Brooks of Texas. Perez's body was found floating in a canal in West Hialeah, near Miami, after it was believed he was going to blow the whistle on the Bush family's drug operations in Florida.

Another CIA operative, Johnny Molina, committed suicide in a Pensacola restaurant parking lot. Police concluded that Molina shot himself by unloading 20 rounds from a MAC 10 clip into his body. Molina's body was cremated before an autopsy could be conducted. The same "police professionalism" would be evident in the investigation of the death of Marshall and his two children.

One composite character in Marshall's recollection of the events of the early 80s is called "The Maestro." The head of a wealthy Ohio family of Skull and Bonesman, "The Maestro" is a behind-the scenes manipulator of the anti-communist operations in Central America. The Maestro is heavily involved with Southern Air Transport operations out of Rickenbacker Field outside of Columbus, Ohio. Although the "Maestro's" description could allude to a member of the powerful Taft family, many of whom were Skull and Bonesmen, it appears to be a composite of numerous wealthy GOP contributors, including billionaire oil and banking heir David Rockefeller, who were hit up by a network involving North and other White House officials to solicit contributions for the contra and Afghan mujaheddin causes.

Bush, as chairman of the Dade County Republican Party, was heavily involved in the contra support network and the savings and loan scandal, which Marshall viewed as a scheme to fund various Bush family political campaigns and covert CIA operations with misappropriated funds from savings and loan institutions that became insolvent and were bailed out at taxpayers' expense.

Marshall describes the S&L scheme: "Using well-placed Skulls, the Maestro had directed an obscure bill to pass Congress that allowed savings and loans companies to reduce the legal home-loan assets from eighty percent to sixty percent. All loans at S&Ls would continue to be guaranteed by the federal government through taxpayer contributions. He had dispatched Skulls to Texas, Florida, California and Colorado to organize developers for commercial buildings. The VP's son just happened to make investments in two federally-backed S&Ls, one in Florida and one in Colorado. Miraculously, new grandiose projects were funded without a federal inspection of feasibility. Miraculously, the developers lost interest in their projects and fled with the advances, forcing the S&Ls to take back investment properties as real estate owned or REOs."

When the S&Ls were left holding undervalued property, they off-loaded it to eager speculators like Jeb Bush and his Cuban-American real estate pals in Miami, people like Armando Codina and Al Cardenas. The latter, who is the chief of CPAC -- the Conservative Political Action Committee --  just wrapped up their annual conference outside of Washington. The right-wing confab featured Jeb Bush as one of the 2016 hopefuls vying for CPAC support.

Part of the ad campaign for the contra cause was based on a steady stream of propaganda and disinformation from the White House, over which presided a person Marshall calls the "aging thespian," also known as Ronald Reagan. Marshall indicates that he flew a mission to Nicaragua that captured airfield photographs taken by a camera mounted on Marshall's plane of Escobar and a low-level Nicaraguan Interior Ministry official. Vice President Bush and North (Cathey) conspired to name the low-level Nicaraguan official as the defense minister and use it as proof of official Sandinista involvement with the Medellin Cartel. The White House leaked the photos to the right-wingWashington Times which ran with the story on the front page: "top ministers in the Sandinista government have been directly involved with cocaine trafficking into the United States. In pictures released with the story, a government official is seen loading bales of cocaine into an airplane bound for Florida."

Since his death, Marshall has been vilified by an array of corporate media types, propagandists for the Israeli government, and those who knew Marshall but have decided he is worthy of a character assassination on top of his actual assassination. While the two books Marshall wrote about 9/11 are important, it is Lakefront Airport that provides clues as to who would want Marshall dead, particularly if he obtained evidence that could prove that an ex-president and would-be president smuggled cocaine through Florida and another ex-president was a primary accessory to the murder of Barry Seal.

In his book, Marshall describes one scene in which Seal berates a local Louisiana sheriff who wants to jail Seal. Seal calls the fat sheriff "Fife," a reference to the bumbling Barney Fife from the Andy Griffith Show. Marshall could not have foreseen that another sheriff, Calaveras County Sheriff Gary Kuntz, would display "Fife" characteristics in the investigation of Marshall's suspicious death.

A 6 Feb 2013 report in the Santa Barbara Review discusses the slaying of a 9/11 author Philip Marshal and his two children Alex and Macaila in their home in the "gated community of Forest Meadows", California, east of Sacramento. I have been through this area several times as my Brother-in-Law lived in nearby Pollock Pines.

Philip was just completing his book, “The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror.”

I wonder if the 9/11 Truth Community can help this brave man's family -- do any of us know him? We can also encourage a thorough investigation and fair reporting of the man's death. He was an outspoken member of our world-wide truth-seeking community. The photo in the article shows two beautiful youth with their father Philip.

A Santa Barbara View Exclusive Report

Former airline pilot Phillip (alternately, “Philip”) Marshall spent a great deal of time around Santa Barbara last year preparing for the release of his controversial 9/11 conspiracy book “The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror.”

During the editing and pre-marketing process of Marshall’s book, he expressed some degree of paranoia because the nonfiction work accused the George W. Bush administration of being in cahoots with the Saudi intelligence community in training the hijackers who died in the planes used in the attacks.

“Think about this,” Marshall said last year in a written statement, “The official version about some ghost (Osama bin Laden) in some cave on the other side of the world defeating our entire military establishment on U.S. soil is absolutely preposterous.”

Marshall went on to say: “The true reason the attack was successful is because of an inside military stand-down and a coordinated training operation that prepared the hijackers to fly heavy commercial airliners. We have dozens of FBI documents to prove that this flight training was conducted California, Florida and Arizona in the 18 months leading up to the attack.”

The veteran pilot confided that he was concerned about his 10-year, independent 9/11 study and most recent book since they pointed to the Saudis and the Bush intelligence community as the executioners of the attack that defeated all U.S. military defenses on Sept. 11, 2001. Marshall said he knew his book might cause some people to take issue with him.

Slaying victims Alex and Macaila Marshall with their father, Phillip Marshall.

However, could last weekend’s killings in the remote, gated community of Forest Meadows outside the tiny town of Murphys be another conspiracy? Although sheriff’s investigators don’t know the motive, they reported that the killings as a double murder and suicide. Marshall was found in his home’s doorway in a pool of blood with a 9mm Glock pistol that he had just showed to a friend two weeks ago.

The Calaveras County coroner is having a toxicology report performed on the blood of Marshall and his children to determine if any drugs are present in their blood streams, which is standard procedure in cases like this. Reports from the county sheriff indicate the children were sleeping when shot. The coroner said Macaila Marshall, 14, and Alex Marshall, 17, were lying 6 feet from each other on separate parts of a large U-shaped sectional couch.

When asked whether it was possible the children were drugged, the coroner said he couldn’t say yet. “That’s a good question,” he said in published reports. “We will be checking tox on everybody. It did appear as though they were sleeping.” The toxicology results and pathologist’s report could be completed within three weeks.

“Cause of death is all going to be single gunshot wound to the head for everybody,” the coroner said. The family dog also was found dead from a gunshot in a bedroom.

Calaveras County officials said conspiracy theories about the deaths are growing on online comment forums below stories about the incident. Many of these stem from Marshall’s involvement with the CIA as a contract pilot in the 1980s and the books he wrote about 9/11.

The children’s mother, Sean Marshall, was traveling on business in Turkey at the time of the killings. The coroner said she is expected to arrive in the area soon to make funeral arrangements.

2008 crime reports indicate friction between Marshall and his spouse. Phillip Marshall was jailed briefly on suspicion of slapping Sean Marshall’s sister, but he was not prosecuted. Last year, Marshall told one of his book editors that he still was disputing custody of his children with his ex-wife, but gladly attended his son’s football games and was quite close with daughter.

However, at that time Marshall was heavily involved with publishing what became his last book.

“After an exhaustive 10-year study of this lethal attack that used Boeing airliners filled with passengers and fellow crew members as guided missiles, I am 100 percent convinced that a covert team of Saudi intelligence agents was the source of logistical, financial and tactical resources that directed essential flight training to the 9/11 hijackers for 18 months before the attack,” Marshall wrote. “This conclusion was determined six years ago and all subsequent evidence has only served to confirm this conclusion.”

On March 1, two former U.S. senators, who headed separate 9/11 federal investigations, also raised the possibility of Saudi involvement in the attacks that killed 3,000 people and spurred the global War on Terror. In sworn statements that seem likely to reignite the debate, former senators Bob Graham and Bob Kerrey, who saw top-secret information on the Saudis’ activities, said they believe that the Saudi government played a direct role in the terrorist attacks.

“I am convinced that there was a direct line between at least some of the terrorists who carried out the Sept. 11 attacks and the government of Saudi Arabia,” former Senator Bob Graham said in an affidavit filed as part of a lawsuit brought against the Saudi government and dozens of institutions in the country by families of 9/11 victims and others. Graham headed a 2002 joint congressional inquiry into the attacks and has claimed he was muzzled into silence about his committee’s findings in 2002 by former Vice President Dick Cheney and other top members of the Bush intelligence community.

In his own sworn affidavit, Kerrey said “significant questions remain unanswered” about the role of Saudi institutions. “Evidence relating to the plausible involvement of possible Saudi government agents in the (9/11) attacks has never been fully pursued,” Kerrey said in a March 1, 2012, New York Times article.

The affidavits, which were filed Feb. 24, are part of a multi-billion-dollar lawsuit going through federal courts since 2002. An appellate court, reversing an earlier decision, said in November that foreign nations were not immune to lawsuits under certain terrorism claims, clearing the way for parts of the Saudi case to be reheard in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

Last year, Marshall spoke on the national radio broadcast AM Coast to Coast. He said the entire 9/11 episode was “a political stunt to favor the American shadow government that is currently doing business as the U.S. intelligence community.”

Philip Marshall ‘Murder-Suicide’ – A Lack of Evidence

FEBRUARY 28, 2013 BY  8 COMMENTS

UPDATE: Philip Marshall’s Coroner Speaks

It’s possible that the biggest conspiracy theory here – is the one that the police have come up with.

Greg Fernandez Jr
21st Century Wire

“As a former operative in this group’s notorious covert missions, including Iran-Contra and the sting of Pablo Escobar, I recognized that this smoke rising over Manhattan might add a major piece to my large jigsaw puzzle of evidence.”
– Philip Marshall (The Big Bamboozle, page 9)

Philip Marshall’s first wife, Ann Kallauner, told the Union Democrat she did not believe Marshall was a “Contra pilot.” She believes her former husband provided a taxi service for Barry Seal; a man who worked in black-ops smuggling drugs and guns in and out of the country for the CIA and DEA. So how much did Kallauner really know about her ex-husband? In the same interview she admits that Marshall was not always honest about his travels with Barry Seal. “He’d be in one city, tell me he was in another,” she told the Union Democrat. Philip and Ann Marshall were married for about three years starting in 1985. Kallauner, who lives in Louisiana, was also surprised at the allegation, “I don’t see him doing that without being in an altered state.”

Philip Marshall began flying at age 15. The young pilot’s first flight instructor was his father. On 9/11, after the second plane struck the World Trade Center, Marshall’s father called him from New Orleans, the city where Philip was raised. From his Santa Barbara home in Northern California Marshall picked up the phone, “Phil, thank God you’re home.” Marshall’s father added, “There’s more planes missing.” In Richard Clarke’s gate-keeping book, Against All Enemies, Clarke wrote that on 9/11 there were more than a dozen planes missing that day.

As Marshall watched the events of September Eleventh unfold, he began to make connections between the terrorist attack and the fictional book he was about to publish called “Lakefront Airport.” In The Big Bamboozle Marshall writes, “I remembered, through a rush of shock and awe, my work over the previous ten years, the hundreds of hours at this desk, on layovers, studying the new inexorable power that had invaded America, the bull in the china shop that had already caused havoc in my career and the undercurrent of deep mistrust amongst our pilot association. The culmination of that research was nearly finished, and because there were so many holes in my understanding at that time [Lakefront Airport] was written as a novel based on my time flying for the spooks back in the 1980s.”

Even before 9/11 Marshall had “a sick feeling that America was in deep trouble, that a group, this new Bush Administration, just like the old Bush Administration, was an incredibly dangerous, brazen bunch of well-connected, well-educated ideologists. They were on a power trip similar to others in world history, but as far as I knew this was the first attempt by what our founders had labeled domestic enemies to overthrow the Constitution and place America under their own absolute power.”

Many news reports have been quick to echo what the Calaveras County Sheriffs Department has claimed; Philip Marshall killed his two teenage kids, his dog, and himself. What we know is that there is no motive for the allegation, and we know that this conclusion was made the same day that the three bodies were found. The family dog was found in a bedroom, the two kids were found “sleeping” on a couch in the front room, six feet away from each other, and Marshall was found face-up near the front door, in a pool of blood with his gun next to him.

The biggest conspiracy theory here is the one that the police have come up with. Have they tested Philip Marshall for gun residue (ballistics testing)? The police department have not released any information about this question and I haven’t seen it asked in the local news reports about Philip Marshall.

The Calaveras County coroner, Kevin Raggio, claims the two teenagers, Alex (17) and Macaila (14), appeared to be “sleeping.” Joel Metzger, of Calaveras Enterprise.com, points out “It’s highly unlikely Marshall could have shot one without waking the other.” Metzgerreports that Sgt. Chris Hewitt was asked about this. Hewitt responded by saying he could not comment on it, “It’s part of an active investigation.” I thought they had concluded their investigation when they determined Marshall was guilty of a double-murder suicide? Perhaps the investigation is still “on-going” because the police have no motive, no suicide note, and no indication that Marshall fit the profile of someone who murdered the two people closest to him, his own flesh and blood.

Some would say that Marshall did this because of the separation and future divorce to his second wife, Sean Marshall. That is a theory to which there is no evidence. Critics point to a December 2008 dispute Marshall had with Sean and her sister, Erin, over the custody battle of the kids. Marshall was accused by Sean and Erin of slapping Erin at the Forest Meadows home. Marshall was detained, not arrested, and eventually released.

A month earlier in November, Philip Marshall hid in the shower of his house with a video camera as Sean entered the home and allegedly stole a bottle of six 20-milligram pills of Kadian; a very strong opioid.

The police were called out and eventually arrested Sean Marshall, charging her with petty theft, trespassing and possession of drugs without prescription. The charges were dropped on September 28th, 2009. When asked by police why she took the pills, she told them she hid the pills in a tree and planned on giving them to her lawyer.

A divorce hearing was scheduled for this week, February 25th, 2013. Sean Marshall filed for divorce in October 2012. Though the police have no motive, and it’s possible they never will, there are theories that one of the reasons why Philip would kill his kids is over the divorce. Again, this makes little sense considering the age of the children. If Philip Marshall was as close with his kids as friends and neighbors claim, then he didn’t have to worry about losing his teenage children in the custody battle. Alex was 17, almost an adult, who could make his own decision as to where he wanted to live and why. Though Macaila was 14, I believe the judge would have asked her where she wanted to reside, with the mother or father.

Since the two teens went to a high school near the Marshall residence and were active in both social and sporting activities, there’s little doubt the teens would want to finish high school at Bret Harte Union High. Philip Marshall was heavily involved in their school activities as well. So for me, the “If I can’t have the kids, nobody can” theory is very weak.

Bob Freels, security guard for the gated-community of Forest Meadows told the Union Democrat, “I would never have guessed anything like this.” He describes them as a normal family.

Bret Harte Union High School’s Assistant Principle Kelly Osborn is quoted as saying, “It just doesn’t make sense.” A neighbor named Mike Brown described Mr. Marshall as a dedicated father and Merita Calloway of the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors said Marshall was very involved with his kids.

Joel Metzger, of Calaveras Enterprises.com, reports that Calloway also said, “the actions don’t match the person we know” and “he loved his children.” Nextdoor neighbor Carolyn Greenwood said, “I knew him long enough to know he was a regular guy. He was a good father, always there for his kids and a helpful neighbor.” More to the point of foul-play, Merita Calloway, who also lives in the gated-community, told a sheriff’s captain that she “truly felt like somebody came in the house.” While visiting Murphys soon after the incident, Wayne Madsen learned that a side-door was open when the bodies were found.

As seen above, the same day the bodies were found the police released a statement claiming “the reason for this murder-suicide is unknown at this time.”

So where is the motive provided by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s office? They have none. The people who lived near Philip Marshall and communicated with him have a hard time believing Marshall would kill his two children. There is no suicide note and no motive. Also, no one heard any gun shots between Thursday, January 31st and Saturday February 2nd, 2013.

On February 3rd Sgt. Chris Hewitt made it clear the police investigating the crime do not believe there was foul-play. “All evidence and information at the scene confirmed this was indeed a double-murder suicide and there was no evidence to suggest there was an outside party who entered the house and committed a triple murder.” I hope part of their evidence is gun residue found on Philip Marshall. Of course, the police can’t even determine the time of death. They can only theorize on that too. It happened some time between Thursday and Saturday. The autopsy results by Calaveras County coroner Kevin Raggio confirmed what we already knew – that all four died from a single gun shot wound to the head. The toxicology report, which may not be released for a few more weeks, will hopefully shed some light on what really happened to Marshall and his family. Until then, I don’t see how anyone can conclude this was a double-murder suicide.

I believe Marshall, his two kids, and the family dog (a small shitzu) were murdered one or two days before the Superbowl; which happened to take place in Marshall’s hometown of New Orleans. There is just as much evidence, if not more, to suggest foul-play as there is to suggest a double-murder suicide. Yes, Marshall had a Glock 9mm registered in his name, but where is the ballistic evidence to prove Marshall fired the weapon? Even then, how could the police rule out foul-play the same day the bodies were found. More so, if the investigation was on-going on Superbowl Sunday, why was a clean-up crew removing evidence from a crime scene?

On February 19th, Wayne Madsen told Alex Jones of Infowars.com, “Police said even before they had finished investigating the case, they permitted professional cleaners to come into the Marshall home to clean the premises. After that, there were two sets of vehicles seen at the Marshall home still conducting the investigation after the home was professionally cleaned.”

Madsen, of The Wayne Madsen Report, was in the town of Murphys right around the same time I was. On February 13th, Sean Marshall and her sister were at Bret Harte Union High School near Murphys for some type of ceremony for the two slain teens. The sister, Erin, gave some type of eulogy and Sean gave the closing statement. It’s not clear if either two women think Philip Marshall is guilty or innocent of this crime. Sean was quoted as saying, by Joel Metzger, “Being in Turkey and getting the news, it was almost unbearable. When I heard of this devastation, there are no words ever to explain the emotions, the hurt, the regrets. I couldn’t hear God at that moment. I couldn’t hear his answers why, why would you do this? Why them? Why me? Hug everyone, love everyone, be kind.”

Why blame God? Why not blame the ones who murdered Philip Marshall and his two kids? Shall we just trust in what the police say? Should we believe, without evidence, that Philip Marshall murdered his two children, his dog, and then shot himself on the left side of the head?

Wayne Madsen was in Murphys the same day as the ceremony. That night, on February 13th, Madsen told Infowars Nightly News host Jakari Jackson, “that evening, someone tried to break in through a sliding door at the back of the residence. It’s quite clear that Marshall has something that somebody wanted so bad, they were willing to kill him and his children and his family dog for.”

Who is Barry Seal?

Conspiracy theories continue due to the unanswered questions, not because of Marshall’s past. Examining Marshall’s past brings us to Barry Seal. Barry Seal’s wife once said that her husband flew the getaway plane out of Dallas after John F. Kennedy was killed. It’s believed that Seal began flying for black-op missions in the 50′s and hired Marshall in the 80′s after Seal lost his pilot’s license. Marshall told Coast to Coast that many of the contract pilots did not know what their planes were carrying. Both Seal and Marshall were involved in smuggling arms and drugs into South America. Barry Seal had ties to David Ferrie, who was also a pilot at one time. 1967, David Ferrie was questioned by District Attorney Jim Garrison about his involvement in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Ferrie lied to Garrison about his whereabouts of November 22, 1963. Soon after Ferrie met with Garrison, Ferrie allegedly committed suicide. On February 19, 1986, Barry Seal was shot multiple times while attempting to exit his car. Seal was going to testify that George H. W. Bush was involved in the smuggling operations. Barry Seal may have been involved in what is know as Operation 40; the alleged hit team that was ordered to kill JFK on November 22, 1963.

Philip Marshall’s fictional Lakefront Airport is about Barry Seal and his CIA-connected smuggling operations involving contract pilots.

According to page 152 of Philip Marshall’s last published book, The Big Bamboozle, “Barry had some wild encounters with with the world’s most dangerous people that included cocaine kingpins and Intelligence Community assassins.” In Marshall’s only “fictional” book, Lakefront Airport, he told the tales of Barry Seal’s “dealings and eventual sting on the notorious Pablo Escobar” as well as Mr. Seal’s “early days of smuggling marijuana and explosives and his dealings with Ollie North and George H. W. Bush’s secret operations south of the border.”

On page 153,Philip Marshall refers to Barry Seal as his former boss. “The third man from the left is my former boss Barry Seal.” This picture was taken in Mexico city on January 22, 1963, at the La Reforma nightclub. Of the picture Marshall writes, “Here may very well be the founding members of the Intelligence Community’s Special Activities Division. This photo was taken ten months before President John F. Kennedy was gunned down in Dallas. Some independent investigators believe that this was the assassination team, nicknamed Operation 40, that pulled it off.”

My Trip To Murphys

My friend Patrick Henningsen of 21st Century Wire.com said Murphys is “probably the most picturesque town in North California.” Well said…

Wayne Madsen confirmed everything I learned on my trip to Murphys, and so much more. If not for Wayne’s excellent work, I might have reserved some judgment for a later date. It’s clear to me that many people in the town of Murphys do not believe the official story about Philip Marshall. I hope this revelation will help them consider that 9/11 was an inside job, as Marshall believed. He made direct ties between the hijackers, the flight training they received inside the United States, and the Saudi Arabian Government. It’s believed the Saudis and others financed the terrorist operation that killed over 3,000 people, spawned two unconstitutional wars, created the Patriot Act and made room for N.D.A.A. legislation where the president could detain anyone suspected of working with terrorists whether they are citizens of the United States or not. Due process died on 9/11. Even worse, many believe due process died a long time ago.

On February 19th, Alex Jones told the Infowars.com audience, “I talked to Colonel Marshall [of] the Defense Language School. He said, “All I know is Mohamed Atta trained in my class.””

“The official version about some ghost (Osama bin Laden) in some cave on the other side of the world defeating our entire military establishment on U.S. soil is absolutely preposterous… The true reason the attack was successful is because of an inside military stand-down and a coordinated training operation that prepared the hijackers to fly heavy commercial airliners. We have dozens of FBI documents to prove that this flight training was conducted in California, Florida and Arizona in the 18 months leading up to the attack.” – Philip Marshall (2012)

When Philip Marshall saw the second plane hit the World Trade Center it would set him on a course to discover the truth about 9/11. He came to realize that the Osama bin Laden “killing” on May, 2, 2011 was a farce. I have covered this in my own book, False Flags. Actually it appears Marshall began seriously researching 9/11 around the same time as I did.

Philip Marshall was not killed because he wrote a book on 9/11. Many people have done that. Can we prove he was killed as part of a black-op? Not at this time. Yet we know Marshall had dealings with black-ops and that he knew a lot of key players in the Iran-Contra scandal and the sting of Pablo Escobar. As a pilot Marshall understood that the official story about a plane hitting the Pentagon was not true. To this day, the government has not provided any proof of their own conspiracy theory of what happened at the Pentagon on 9/11.

One of the questions I have is how Marshall’s children felt about their father’s books. Apparently, on Macaila’s Facebook page there’s a link to her father’s book on 9/11.

Finally, we have the tie-in to more gun control. This time, the high school where Alex and Macaila Marshall attended has created a bereavement fund that includes a scholarship for future students. One of the considerations for the scholarship is the student’s view on “gun control regulations in the community.”

“A bereavement fund for the siblings has been set up at the U.S. Bank branch in Angels Camp. Donations can be made out to Alex and Macaila and mailed to the bank at 580 S. Main St., Angels Camp, CA 95222. The donations will go toward the memorials and a student annual scholarship for Bret Harte High School. The funding will consider students who are involved with the promotion of mental health awareness and gun control regulations in the community, according to organizers.”

Students were told instead of paying admission for that Friday’s school dance, they could donate to the bereavement fund. While I am happy there is a bereavement fund to honor the two teens, I am disgusted that the “organizers” would use such a tragic event to promote more gun regulations.

With all the surrounding questions, what is the big picture here? What is the Big Bamboozle?

“The big picture was emerging as an empire, with a confederacy of domestic enemies attempting a coup, a revolution, against the United States.”
– Philip Marshall (The Big Bamboozle, page 9)

WMR Jeb Bush / CIA

June 12-14, 2015 -- SPECIAL REPORT. UPDATE. Jeb Bush received comprehensive CIA briefing when he worked for bank in Caracas

WMR has obtained a copy of a letter sent to the Central Intelligence Agency by Jeb Bush when he served as the top official of Texas Commerce Bank in Caracas, Venezuela. On April 8, 2015, WMR first reported on the possibility that Bush, a recent college graduate, may have served as a CIA "non-official cover" (NOC) agent in Venezuela. The revelation about Bush's past links to the CIA comes two days before his expected announcement in Miami that he is a candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

A June 7, 1977 letter on Texas Commerce Bank stationery from "Jeb Bush" of the bank's International Banking Division, using post office box 2558 in Houston, to Robert W. Gambino, director of security for the CIA thanks Gambino, who was in charge of issuing clearances for CIA official cover and NOC agents alike, for "arranging such a comprehensive and informative briefing" for Bush during his recent trip to Washington.

Bush also wrote, "I now understand why my father says that your agency has the most dedicated and professional group of people with which he has ever been associated." Bush again thanked Gambino and his associates for seeing him.

Upon entering office on January 20, 1977, President Jimmy Carter refused a request from George H. W. Bush that he be retained as CIA director. Instead, Carter chose his Annapolis classmate, Admiral Stansfield Turner, to take the helm at Langley. Although Turner dismissed a number of Bush clandestine service loyalists, many remained in the CIA's infrastructure. Update: One of the Bush loyalists was Gambino, the CIA security director who arranged for Jeb Bush's comprehensive briefing. In 1980, Gambino retired from the CIA to work for George H. W. Bush's presidential campaign. The elder Bush rewarded Gambino in 1991 when he was appointed director of the Selective Service, which registers young men for a potential draft.

In April of this year, WMR reported: "One of the last things then-Central Intelligence Agency director George H. W. Bush did for his son Jeb, whose actual name is John Ellis Bush from which the 'Jeb' is derived as an acronym, is to have him hired by the international division of the Texas Commerce Bank as a CIA 'non-official cover officer or 'NOC.' Texas Commerce Bank was an optimal cover for CIA activities. The bank was founded by the family of James Baker. All the elder Bush had to do was to call his close friend Baker to have his son hired by the bank's international division, the usual branch where CIA NOCs were placed within banks and investment firms. Other banks used by the CIA for NOC embeds included Bank of America, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Manufacturers Hanover.

Texas Commerce Bank, bought by Chemical Bank in 1987 and which is now part of J.P Morgan Chase, had the right pedigree to enable it to work closely with the CIA. In 1977, its board members included Lady Bird Johnson and the recently-defeated President Gerald Ford. In the 1980s, Kenneth Lay, who founded the CIA-connected Enron, became a board member of Texas Commerce Bank. Howard Hughes's CIA-linked Summa Corporation used Texas Commerce Bank to purchase a number of properties on the Las Vegas strip." Hughes also held major accounts at the bank.

A vanity book marking Texas Commerce Bank's centenary in 1986 and commissioned by bank president Ben Love in 1981 describes the bank's cozy relationship with George W. Bush and his Zapata Off-Shore Company. Zapata was linked to the CIA's abortive Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961. In 1985, Love also served on President Ronald Reagan's "President's Private Sector Survey on Cost Control," also known as the Grace Commission.

The book describes how the "major predecessor of Texas Commerce, Texas National Bank," played a "significant role in helping finance the early development of Zapata Off-Shore Company . . . which grew to national prominence beginning in the mid-1950s." The book also states, "George Bush, who later became vice-president of the United States, and J. Hugh Liedtke, subsequently the head of Pennzoil, formed Zapata Petroleum Corporation with headquarters in Houston in 1953, the same year Texas National Bank (TNB) was created through the merger of South Texas National and Union National Bank.

TNB quickly established mutually profitable working ties with Zapata Off-Shore Company, an 80 percent-owned subsidiary of Zapata Petroleum . . . Loans from Texas National  to Zapata for drilling rigs and vessels to tend to the rigs established the growing company as one of the bank's most significant oil-related accounts in the late 1950s."

Three ships owned by Zapata and which were financed by TNB -- theHouston, Barbara J, and Zapata -- were loaned by George H. W. Bush's firm to the CIA for the 1961 invasion by exiled Cuban mercenaries of Cuba. Not coincidentally, the Bay of Pigs invasion was code-named OPERATION ZAPATA by the CIA.

Texas Commerce Bank officials often rubbed shoulders with Zapata officials at the swank Houston Club during Jeb Bush's two year stint in Caracas. It was not unusual to see Zapata's vice president for international operations H. Merle Myers at club events with John Whitmore, chairman of the board; Kenneth M. Williams, senior vice president; Henry F. LeMieux, director; Thomas Dean Hogan, vice president of the Trust Department, and John West, executive vice president of Texas Commerce Bank. Other oil executives who frequented the club were those from Halliburton, Pennzoil, Exxon, Texaco, Shell, Amerada Hess, Brown & Root, Gulf Oil, and Ashland Oil. In 1977, these and other Houston Club members would also welcome back to their fold longtime member George H. W. Bush who moved back to Houston following his year as CIA director.

Bush entered the University of Texas in 1971 after graduating from Andover in Massachusetts where his academic record was less than stellar. Bush was forced to redo the ninth grade at Andover. However, at the University of Texas, Bush majored in Latin American Studies and graduated in a phenomenal two-and-a half-years. An October 8, 1976 memo to the CIA's Deputy Director for Operations Training cites the University of Texas graduate program as a favored recruiting ground for the CIA. The CIA's Southwest Regional recruiter spoke to some 50 graduate students and faculty at the LBJ School of Public Affairs about careers in the CIA. However, as the memo notes, the recruiter warned a reporter for the University of Texas daily newspaper covering the talk that certain information "should be off the record." The reporter agreed to the CIA's terms. One of those present was Dr. Sydney Weintraub, a former deputy Secretary of State and deputy administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The CIA recruiter also targeted graduate students and faculty at the University Center for Asian Studies and the center's director, Dr. P. Tomasson Jannuzi. George H. W. Bush was CIA director during the agency's full court press recruiting effort at the Austin campus.

In 1977, a short time after his father left the CIA as director, Jeb, fluent in Spanish as a result of his time as an exchange student in Guadalajara, was sent, along with his Mexican wife Columba, to Caracas, Venezuela to work as a 'branch manager' and 'vice president' at the young age of 24. But Jeb was no ordinary 'branch manager.' He was, officially, Texas Commerce Bank's top point man in the Venezuelan capital and, unofficially, the CIA's main financial liaison to the Venezuelan oil industry and the Colombian narcotics cartels.

Jeb Bush's dalliance with the covert world of CIA off-shore financing would introduce him to important future political benefactors and those who would help shape his brother George W. Bush's eight year presidency. Continuing our report from April 8, 2015:

"[James] Baker sold Texas Commerce Bank's Houston skyscraper to the head of the National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Khalid bin Mahfouz, in 1985. Bin Mahfouz was later identified as a key member of Saudi Arabia's support network for the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States, which is noted in the still-classified 28 pages of U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee Report on 9/11 intelligence failures. Bin Mahfouz, who lived in the River Oaks section of Houston near George H. W. Bush, died suddenly in 2009 at the age of 59. Bin Mahfouz, who was also an Irish citizen, threatened with confiscatory lawsuits any publication that reported his links to 9/11 and his family ties to Osama bin Laden.

Jeb had no problems with the Venezuelan government in providing financial support for the Colombian cartels. For much of Jeb's stay in Venezuela, the extremely corrupt Carlos Andres Perez, known as 'CAP,' was president. His extravagant spending using Venezuela's revenue from the recently-nationalized oil industry earned his government the nickname of 'Saudi Venezuela.' Although CAP nationalized the oil industry and created the Petroleos de Venezuela (PdVSA) state-owned oil firm, he also was generous to American firms bidding for work with PdVSA. One of them was Bechtel Corporation, the firm of future Reagan-Bush cabinet members George P. Shultz and Caspar Weinberger. With a number of Bechtel employees in Venezuela, Jeb was not the only CIA 'NOC' present in the country. But, he was the most influential.

A CIA report about Venezuela's growing international ties in 1977 was prepared during Jeb Bush's assignment in Caracas. Titled "Venezuelan Internationalism: Oil and Influence," dated July 1977 and classified Confidential, the report warns against Venezuela's "unprecedented series of agreements with Central American, Caribbean, and Andean countries" and its vigorous "global dialogue between the developing and developed countries." The report also warned that Andres Perez expanded Venezuela's new foreign policy orientation from that of his predecessor Rafael Caldera and "identified himself personally with Third World aspirations." The CIA report indicated particular alarm by Langley over Andres Perez's November 1976 trip to the Soviet Union and another trip to the Middle East in April 1977. What particularly irritated the CIA was Perez's plan to ship Venezuela's oil to Cuba -- petroleum that was normally supplied by the Soviet Union -- in return for the Soviets supplying the oil normally destined for Cuba, to Western Europe, particularly Italy, thus reducing transportation costs for all parties concerned.

At the center of all the high-stakes oil politics in Caracas was Jeb Bush.

During CAP's second term as president from 1989 to 1993, a young army officer named Hugo Chavez attempted to overthrow the corrupt CAP in a coup. Many of Venezuela's elite who Jeb befriended during his days as Langley's main NOC in Caracas later became involved with repeated CIA attempts to overthrow Chavez and his successor, Nicolas Maduro. Today, they and their progeny live in the Miami-Dade area, particularly in Doral, nicknamed 'Doralzuela,' and are among Jeb's strongest and most deep-pocketed political supporters.

In 1989, CAP crushed popular protests against his government by killing as many as 3000 protesters. The massacre is known as the 'Caracazo' massacre. After leaving office the second time, Andres Perez was convicted of corruption and sentenced to 28 months in prison.

After leaving Venezuela in 1980 to help with his father's presidential and vice presidential campaigns, Jeb hooked up with Cuban-American Miami businessman Armando Codina, who had his own connections with CIA-supported anti-Castro Cuban exiles in south Florida. It was Codina who helped Jeb make millions of dollars in the real estate business and eventually help launch him on his political career that took him to the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee. Jeb, as a principal of the Codina Group, was able to arrange the sale of high-priced condos and mansions in the Miami area to his elite friends in Venezuela, with Jeb receiving handsome sales commissions.

One of Jeb's close Miami associates was Cuban terrorist Orlando Bosch. Bosch was a key figure in the CIA's Operation Condor, which was an alliance of Latin American military dictatorships that targeted leftist leaders for assassination across international borders. From his base in Caracas, Bosch helped carry out the October 1976 bombing of Cubana Airlines flight 455, which was en route from Barbados to Jamaica. All 73 passengers and crew were killed in the attack, including children and the Cuban fencing team.

The Cubana bombing plot was discussed at a 1976 meeting in Washington between Bosch; another Cuban terrorist, Luis Posada Carriles; and Michael Townley of the CIA. Jeb's father, the CIA director, was fully aware of the plot, as well as another plot to kill former Chilean Foreign Minister Orlando Letelier. Letelier and Roni Moffitt, his American associate, were killed when their car exploded on Sheridan Circle in front of the Irish embassy in Washington on September 21, 1976, a few weeks before the Cubana airliner was blown out of the sky off Barbados.

Codina, Bosch, and Posada Carriles were all part of Jeb's inner circle of friends, which also included Cuban businessman Camilo Padreda, a former spy for Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista, and Hernandez Cartaya, both later indicted for systematically embezzling funds from the Jefferson Savings and Loan of McAllen, Texas. Padreda and Cartaya were also identified as CIA agents who helped skim funds from Jefferson and other S&Ls to fund the Nicaraguan contras. Jeb's work for the CIA in Caracas in 1977 came a few months after the CIA's worst terrorism spree in history, which also happened to coincide with George H. W. Bush's single year of 1976 as CIA director.

After his father became Vice President, Jeb served as the liaison for the Nicaraguan contras and he arranged meetings between them and their supporters, as well as to the White House point man for covert assistance to the Nicaraguan rebels, one Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel by the name of Oliver North. Another one of Jeb's Cuban cronies, Miguel Recarey, owner of Miami-based International Medical Center, an HMO, was awash in ill-gotten Medicare funds. Recarey and his brother, who had close ties to the CIA, were also funded by Florida Mafia boss Santo Trafficante, Jr., a co-conspirator in several CIA plots to assassinate Fidel Castro and a suspected co-plotter in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

WMR ... El Chapo escape re-focuses attention on CIA-drug links ... July 24-26, 2015 --

The second escape from a Mexican maximum security prison of feared Sinaloa drug cartel chieftain Joaquin Guzman Loera, also known as El Chapo, has re-focused attention of the ties between the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and drug manufacturing and smuggling syndicates around the world. jeb

Drug smuggling planes used by the Sinaloa and other Mexican cartels and linked to the CIA have been interdicted in Mexico. One, a Gulfstream used by the CIA to rendition suspected Al Qaeda members, crash landed in Yucatan in September 2007. On board the aircraft were 3.3 metric tons of cocaine bound for the Sinaloa cartel from Colombia.

In 2006, Mexican police, acting on a tip from INTERPOL, seized a DC-9 aircraft carrying 5.5 tons of cocaine with an estimated street value of $100 million. The plane had made an emergency landing at Ciudad del Carmen in Campeche state. The DC-9 was painted in the familiar blue and white colors of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.

DC-9, which had once flown entertainer Kenny Rogers and the Seattle Seahawks, was seized with 5.5 tons of cocaine destined for Mexican cartels. The Sky Ways plane was registered to Royal Sons, Inc. of Clearwater, Florida, which was linked to Republican Party associates of then-Florida Governor Jeb Bush. While Bush was governor, U.S. bank regulators discovered that El Chapo's Sinaloa cartel controlled 23 accounts at the Wachovia Bank branch in Miami. Wachovia merged with Wells Fargo Bank in 2008. Jeb Bush's close links to Wachovia ensured that the bank was the top Florida corporate donor to George W. Bush's 2005 inauguration in Washington. Jeb Bush was the head of the Florida delegation to the inaugural ceremonies.

In addition, the Zetas cartel, with support from Mossad cells operating in Guatemala and Costa Rica have used weapons smuggled from the United States and drugs smuggled from Mexico and other locations to launch major CIA-sponsored destabilization efforts aimed at toppling the Sandinista government from power in Nicaragua and seeing the leftist National Unity of Hope (UNE) government of Guatemala ousted in the 2012 election. The ouster of the leftist government in Guatemala was accomplished.

The CIA's ties to El Chapo follow a long history of CIA links to drug smuggling war lords in Third World nations. During the Indochina War, the CIA's ties with General Khun Sa in Burma's opium-producing Golden Triangle and General Vang Pao's drug smuggling operations in Laos, provided Langley which substantial "off-the-books" revenues for clandestine activities around the world. The CIA's Golden Triangle smuggling operations continue to exist with CIA fronts, mostly shipping companies based in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao, smuggling pure morphine into the United States.

Ever since the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan, the CIA has been at the center of Afghanistan's opium and heroin smuggling operations. Most of the smuggling was carried out under the regime of President Hamid Karzai, an old CIA operative since the CIA-led mujaheddin war against the Soviets in the 1980s. When the Taliban banned opium production in 2000, the CIA stepped up its anti-Taliban operations through proxies in the Afghan Northern Alliance and anti-Taliban elements living in Pakistan.

Karzai's half-brother, Ahmed Wali Karzai, a kingpin in the Afghan heroin trade, has also been on the payroll of the CIA. This was even reported by The New York Times in 2009.

During the 1980s, two Nicaraguan contra operatives, Carlos Cabezas and Julio Zavala, were convicted by the U.S. Justice Department of drug trafficking in Miami, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Another drug smuggler, Juan Norwin Meneses Cantarero, was an operative for the two leaders of the contras, Adolfo Calero and Enrique Bermudez. In 1982, the CIA requested the Justice Department to return $36,800 in cash seized from a Meneses operative who was busted in San Francisco. The CIA said the money had to be returned in order to protect an "operational equity." That equity was the Contra leadership.

The CIA also cooperated with the Israeli Mossad in drug running in the 1980s. Eric Arturo Del Valle, the man Panamanian General Manuel Noriega selected to serve as Panama's President from 1985 to 1988, was not only a leading member of Panama's Jewish community but Mossad's number one asset in Central America. The CIA used the Del Valle family's sugar export business to smuggle cocaine into the United States. In 1988, the United States exfiltrated Del Valle from Panama City to Miami. Del Valle had broken with Noriega and was replaced as president after the Panamanian junta leader's indictment by the U.S. Justice Department for drug smuggling. Del Valle arrived at Miami International Airport with several pieces of luggage, some suspected of containing nothing but cash. U.S. Secret Service agents accompanied Del Valle and his wife Marianella to an "undisclosed location."

The CIA also used Steadman Fagoth Muller, the leader of MISURA, a coalition of Nicaraguan Atlantic coast Indian tribes, the Miskito, Sumo and Rama, to help facilitate the CIA's Caribbean off-shore narcotics smuggling activities. Miskito Indians began harvesting what became known as "white lobster" -- floating packages of cocaine jettisoned from ships originating in Colombia -- later picked up by CIA aircraft from small landing strips in Nicaragua and delivered to Mena airport in Arkansas; Marianna airfield, near Memphis; and Marana airport in Arizona.

The Miskito and other tribes received weapons from the CIA in return for the cocaine. Also used to smuggle drugs into the United States was the old CIA proprietary company, Zapata Off-Shore, which was once "owned" by George H W Bush, the vice president of the United States when most of the CIA's drug smuggling activities were taking place. The shrimp trawlers of another CIA front, Pacific Seafood, was used to transport drugs from Zapata oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico to the U.S. mainland. One important destination for the contraband was John F. Kennedy International Airport, where the drugs were delivered into the hands of Italian mafia boss John Gotti's men. The link between Gotti and the CIA was known to Jeh Johnson, the Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. The CIA links were covered up after the Mafia don's arrest in 1989. Today, Johnson is Secretary of Homeland Security.

The Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico smuggling operations primarily involved the co-founders of the Medellin cartel in Colombia, Carlos Lehder and Pablo Escobar. As with Noriega who served time in a Florida federal prison, Lehder is housed in a minimum-security Florida federal correctional center. Noriega, who is now in a Panamanian prison, after serving time in a French prison, and Lehder are being kept on ice because of the knowledge they have of the Bush family's and CIA's involvement in drug smuggling. Escobar was killed by the Colombian National Police in 1993 after his location was determined through triangulation of his communications signals. The operation was assisted by the U.S. National Security Agency. Escobar was shot in the head, torso, and leg.

When Noriega's American lawyers threatened to expose videotapes showing Noriega and George H W Bush conspiring to smuggle drugs into the United States, the trial judge,
William M. Hoeveler, merely ruled that the CIA could not be brought up by the defense during Noriega's trial in Miami. Hoeveler, a Jimmy Carter nominee, served on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida until his retirement last year. Although he obviously took his orders from Langley, Hoeveler is praised by his colleagues as a shining star of American jurisprudence. One of his clerks, Kevin Martin, later became a member of the Bush-Cheney recount team in Florida in 2000 and chairman of the Federal Communications Commission under George W. Bush.

There have been appeals for Noriega's release in Panama and Lehder's release to his father's native Germany. As long as the Bush family has anything to do with such decisions, both will remain in prison indefinitely.
