• StopAIPAC  Attack Iran Resolution ...   House Resolution 362, introduced by Reps. Gary Ackerman (D-NY) and Mike Pence (R-IN), calls for the United States to "initiate an international effort to immediately and dramatically increase the economic, political, and diplomatic pressure on Iran to verifiably suspend its nuclear enrichment activities by, inter alia, prohibiting the export to Iran of all refined petroleum products; imposing stringent inspection requirements on all persons, vehicles, ships, planes, trains, and cargo entering or departing Iran; and prohibiting the international movement of all Iranian officials not involved in negotiating the suspension of Iran's nuclear program." This sense of the Congress resolution, complemented by Senate Resolution 580, introduced by Senators Evan Bayh (D-IN) and John Thune (R-SD), would impose a naval, land, and air blockade against Iran and be tantamount to an act of war. The resolution is the brainchild of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which decided on the course of action two weeks ago during its annual meeting in Washington, DC.

E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming in March 2005 to an unclassified DLA warehouse at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, were in August 2006 mistaken for four UH-1 Huey helicopter battery packs and shipped to Taiwan. Periodic required inventory checks since the first "mistake" showed the nuclear fuse assemblies were not missing and the discrepancy was not noticed until a year and a half later.  .... and see Wayne Madsen Report  In July 2007, there were a series of incidents at Minot Air Force Base that point to the breakdown in command and control over the U.S. nuclear arsenal. WMR has obtained previously "sealed" documentation that there was a "plan" afoot by at least four personnel at Minot, two including 91st Security Forces Group military security personnel charged with guarding Minot's Minuteman III silos, that involved the warehousing of military equipment, including flash bang and smoke grenades, battlefield trauma kits, gas masks, and chemical gloves, off base for an unknown operation. The 91st SFG is the largest military police group at Minot. The other major security force at Minot is the 5th Security Forces Squadron, the group that was charged with protecting the nuclear warheads that were placed on the B-52 during the 2007 Labor Day weekend.  ....  Minot's Office of Special Investigations officially placed a "gag order" on any discussion about the "plan" by Air Force nuclear security personnel with outside personnel, including North Dakota law enforcement officers. The incident involving the Minot military equipment occurred the same day, July 17, that Lt. Weston Kissel, a Minot B-52 pilot with the 23rd Bomb Squadron, was killed in a motorcycle "accident" while on leave in Tennessee.
• Wayne Madsen Report The August 30 incident had been preceded by a little-known exercise, known as REX REDUX, which occurred on August 24. Lead by Generals Moseley and Elder, this exercise required three B-52 bombers to leave Barksdale and fly a route to the Atlantic Ocean to an area east of Bermuda. The purpose of the mission, as stated by the Shreveport Times, was to "try out LITENING, a targeting pod that transmits video and other data through cyberspace to planners on shore. They were the first active-duty bombers to use the pod, pioneered by a sister unit, the Reserve 917th Wing." The target of the B-52s was a Navy supply ship, USNS 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo, in the Atlantic Ocean. ... The LITENING targeting pod which was tested during the exercise was known as LITENING II. The LITENING targeting pod was created at the Rafael Corporation's Missile Division in Haifa, Israel, with subsequent use of LITENING I for use in the Israeli Air Force. Furthermore: "It is the Secret Service who has the legal mandate to take supreme command in case of a scheduled major event - or an unplanned major emergency - on American soil; these are designated "National Special Security Events".LINK.  ...  Mr. Ruppert and others have subsequently claimed that 911 was an "inside job;" and alleges Mr. Cheney through the Secret Service, played a direct leadership role in what occurred over 911. Consequently, it is very possible that Mr. Cheney could have played a similar role in circumventing the regular chain of military command in ordering the B-52 incident. The B-52 incident could be part of a contrived "National Special Security Event" directly controlled by Cheney by virtue of the alleged authority granted to him by President Bush, and through the Secret Service which at least theoretically, has the technological means to by pass the regular chain of military command. Third, the driver failed to inspect the missiles before hooking up the trailer for transport.
